FOR THE FIRST TIME in two shameful years has a segment of the Congressional Democratic Party made a public show of opposing one of Obama’s shady deals. The question now is whether the examples of Sen. Bernard Sanders (see video below), or Rep. Jay Inslee (D-WA), Anthony Weiner (D-NY), and others, will carry the day and defeat the tax cut proposal advanced by Barack Obama, or whether the deal will go through after all the fireworks and theatrics are over. Our feeling—hate to rain on your parade—is that the insurgency will melt away as the days wear on, for as Senior Editor Stephen Lendman puts it in his customary direct way, “The Fix is in!”  


Still, BERNIE SANDERS (I-VT) is to be commended for his valuable attempt at educating the American people, and effort that apparently was not entirely in vain according to Keith Olbermann‘s report on the event. —P.G.
