About the Author
JOHN R. HALL, Senior Contributing Editor John R. Hall is a street-trained agnotologist with an advanced degree in American Ignorance. Other hats include: photojournalist, novelist, restaurateur, mountaineer, grocer, nurseryman, and janitor. He’s written three novels which have been read by almost nobody: ‘Embracing Darwin’, ‘Last Dance in Lubberland’, and ‘Atlas fumbled’. An untrained writer and college drop-out, he began his short career in journalism writing the ‘Excursion’ column for The Jackson Hole News & Guide. More recently he penned the ‘Left Column’ for The Molokai Island Times; appropriately on the island once known as a leper colony. John currently resides, writes, and protests injustice in the shadow of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and walks among the spirits of those who once occupied the 79 Disappeared Pueblos.

^0Americans are the most over-entertained, uninformed people on the planet.^3000

Ignorant about domestic and geopolitical issues mattering most.^3000

The most important act anyone can do is stop using all mainstream media.^3000

No exceptions whatsoever. It’s brainwash propaganda. ^3000

Toxic sludge for the mind.^3000

Voices like this are NEVER heard on the mainstream media.^3000

The "1%" is the global plutocracy, the billionaires.^3000

A sociopathic, puny segment of humanity.^3000

These people pretend to honor and defend democracy.^3000

But are its murderers and undertakers. ^3000

Gross injustice, war, grotesque inequality is their handiwork. ^3000

And the murder of the planet^3000

Just 8 billionaires own as much wealth as HALF of all humanity.^3000

That's 8 guys are richer than 4 billion people.^3000

The corporate media is their main line of defense.^3000

That's why the best way to break their hold on us...^3000

Is to break their media.^3000

The corporate chokehold on political information is killing us.^3000

Save humanity, the planet and its innocent creatures.^3000

Increase public distrust in the mainstream media.^3000

Defeat their power to mislead.^3000

They lie 24/7. They sell you war. Injustice. Death. Confusion.^3000

And they never stop.^3000

Some more obviously than others, but they all lie. ^3000

So trust no one on the Big Media.^3000

And beware of "entertainment shows". ^3000

Most also carry highly toxic imperialist propaganda.^3000

Like the fungal NCIS series. Or "24", glorifying DHS. ^3000

The police state.^3000

Or CBS Madam Secretary. ^3000

A ridiculous show, like The West Wing. ^3000

Telling us the US government is good.^3000

That the president is good...that its cabinet is good.^3000

That the US establishment—which they represent...^3000

has noble aims. Rubbish!^3000

Get the healing truth from citizens' media.^3000

Like The Greanville Post and similar free voices. ^3000

Do your part to break the power of the mainstream media.^3000

Defeat the presstitutes. The media felons.^3000

Become a soldier in the battle of communications. ^3000

Which we must win.^3000

As the ruling cliques prepare the world for nuclear war...^3000

now it's a matter of survival!^3000

  1. Poetic hyperbole. What is really ailing the world is human overpopulation. The expansion of the human spread over formerly uninhabited and pristine stretches of nature is destroying all the flora and fauna. It is remarkable (aside from the ancient and outdated ideas by the priesthood of the Catholic religion and the deluded Protestant abortion ban) that humans have not seen and still are not able to recognize the enormous threat of too many people.

Not even pregnancy preventing means have made any inroad in the swelling number of humans that outnumber by now the many animal species that are slowly dying out because of the reductions in their habitat. Soon it must be decided by the people themselves if they want to drown in an over extended and overused environment or survive with a rational number of populations.

The climate change surely is mostly dependent on human action but if there is less need for the many internal combustion engines befouling the air, the vast agricultural combines that misuse animals and chemicals to feed and poison the multitudes and the destruction of forests to build shelter for all, the earth may have a chance of survival too.

Nature seems to be expected to correct overpopulation but horrid diseases, starvation and wars do not reduce the size of the human spread and all the efforts for saving nature and animals are actions after the fact that it is not what we do to end livable environments but instead that there are too many of us doing it. That seems to be a non-allowable heresy, but it is entirely up to humans to devise means for its own survival and that is by strongly reducing human populations probably by full birth control or more drastic methods. There is no alternative.

    1. Brilliant guy, this Gui! So spot-on. Everything I wrote here is simply drivel, and overpopulation is the only problem faced by mankind. He should really write articles on the subject, get a vasectomy, start passing out condoms and birth control pills on street corners, and quit wasting time on non-related subjects in comment sections.

  2. Evidently I made a point The ennui with developing technology and its effects on people is a theme already pursued by the culture-wary John Zerzan. As a kind of liberal laudator temporis actis . But one cannot stop humankind’s search for more scientific discoveries and technological improvement and if there was a smaller population in the world that would not destroy nature as it is. All that Hall bemoans would be on a much smaller scale and like smaller countries are doing easier to control. The scathing response misses my point entirely but is indicative of a certain elitism.

  3. Dang Gui…glad you’re getting some use out of that Thesaurus and your high school Latin Class. Didn’t know I was an elitist, but I’ll see if I can get some professional help soon. Many thanks for your enlightened insight and voracious verbiage. The only point you seem to have made is that folks fuck MUCH too carelessly. Seems I’ve heard that theory before, but let’s pretend I didn’t, and you get full credit. Congratulations. You should write a book.
