The Best Definition of Donald Trump We Have Found
In his zeal to prove to his antagonists in the War Party that he is as bloodthirsty as their champion, Hillary Clinton, and more manly than Barack Obama, Trump seems to have gone “play-crazy” -- acting like an unpredictable maniac in order to terrorize the Russians into forcing some kind of dramatic concessions from their Syrian allies, or risk Armageddon. However, the “play-crazy” gambit can only work when the leader is, in real life, a disciplined and intelligent actor, who knows precisely what actual boundaries must not be crossed. That ain’t Donald Trump -- a pitifully shallow and ill-disciplined man, emotionally handicapped by obscene privilege and cognitively crippled by white American chauvinism. By pushing Trump into a corner and demanding that he display his most bellicose self, or be ceaselessly mocked as a “puppet” and minion of Russia, a lesser power, the War Party and its media and clandestine services have created a perfect storm of mayhem that may consume us all.— Glen Ford, Editor in Chief, Black Agenda Report

Let me provide a translation to this superb article:
“Assuming these secret negotiations bear fruit, the consequences will be nothing short of cataclysmic; “The European and Asian security systems of the United States may be about to collapse due to the turmoil in Washington which is unhinging all of the United States alliances. As Congress undermines Donald Trump, the United States is presently jeopardizing all its major strategic relationships.”
This must be read like this:
“Assuming these secret negotiations bear fruit, the consequences will be nothing short of cataclysmic; “The exorbitantly costly (at the expense of the ordinary US taxpayers) European and Asian security systems of the United States ruling class may be about to collapse due to the turmoil in Washington which is unhinging all of the United States alliances. As Congress undermines Donald Trump, the United States ruling class is presently jeopardizing all its major strategic relationships…which is a great gift to humanity and the American people, too.”
Amen.
Bravo for Moonstruck. But anyone with a brain can now see how dangerous Trump is. He is not a bumbling billionaire but a calculating politician who can put even Madame Clinton in the shadows. When will USA-ers grow up politically? They luxuriate in hate speech about this president not seeing through the curtain of deceit what he truly is. This whole North Korea problem comes when Mueller approaches Trump’s lair with a for Trump dangerous direction namely his once associate Manafort. So, what does Trump do? He speaks like Bill Clinton did during his personal problems, he diverts attention with threats of war (Clinton in fact acted with bombardments). As mentioned elsewhere the special counsel probe is overshadowed by talk of war, which as Escobar writes will not take place. But the political power of the USA is slowly being frittered away while a new balance will swing Eastward, a trend that is helped by these kinds of repeated diversions caused by petty USA internal politics.
The mistake that left commentators make is to think that the Trump administration is the continuation of the preceding presidents from Bush to Clinton to Obama etc. It is not and that is because the vested interests in the USA have become aware of the slow but increasing dissolution of its economic power. The banking / industrial / military complex is taking over to directly control its destiny and to what is called effect a ‘rappel a l’ordre’ (a return to order), which involves strengthening of a closed societal complex with ‘walled-in’ borders and military-enforced policing and lowering of living standards to make what is called a ‘mean and lean’ power society. To make the USA great again literally means that and nothing else. The clever politician that Trump is (despite the cliché petty attacks on him) knows that like the European dictators of the mid-twentieth century he gains power by populism and he safely ignores the desperate struggle of the nomenclature instituted and favored during previous administrations to toppling him. This is a completely new era of social engineering though it shares many characteristics with previous European fascisms. It is exactly because social control has advanced to such a degree that pressure is hardly necessary to influence or bully the population. The media can easily take care of the inverted truths and propagandize everything from the people’s personal lives to their social functioning. One can call this a totalitarian society whereby no spaces are left for alternatives except for ones that fit into allowed patterns of thinking that binds all into a morass of confusion, helping to cement the status quo.
