Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, one of the most popular hosts on cable, files his well-cogitated objections to the American meddling in Ukraine, mind you, a bipartisan project, as usual, and the long list of shady and impure motives behind such policy. Tucker sometimes evidences some truly odious concepts, like his obvious racist posture toward Mexicans and his hard to fathom visceral hatred for China, which is only natural for someone who is, after all, a lifelong conservative and employee of Rupert Murdoch’s disgusting media machine. That said, he is just about the ONLY major establishment media person uttering invaluable, vital truths about domestic and international policies, something long-banned throughout the so-called “liberal” media (read, Democrat/CIA lapdog media). Indeed, look as hard as you want and you’d never find opinions like this anywhere else, not even, of course, on Fox, which is people by the same type of disgusting vermin we find elsewhere. But, Tucker, is unusual, and in that lies his usefulness to the American public, and, I should say, to those who still embrace genuine progressive ideas.

There is very little question about what Vladimir Putin’s stated objectives are in invading Ukraine – he has made clear Russia’s demands in terms of Ukrainian neutrality and resolution of the disputed Donbas region. Ukrainian president Zelensky, likely at NATO’s urging, has so far rejected these demands, however, and as a result the war will likely continue for some time to come. Jimmy and The Grayzone’s Aaron Maté (https://mate.substack.com) discuss the prospects of a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine crisis.

Not by Bread Alone, but Mainly by Platitudes
34 minutes readT P WILKINSON—The Anglo-American view of sovereignty is implemented by people for whom such fluid ideas of property, title and boundaries are conventional. This can be seen throughout the 19th and 20th centuries in every aspect of international-law practice. Even the so-called international judiciary has been formed or deformed by such assumptions, with some contradictory concessions to continental jurisprudence. The extremes to which disputes in Britain and the US lead to litigation are also an indication of the operational instability of legal conventions and norms – and of the level of aggression in everyday violation of whatever norms may be created by statute or courts.

Ukraine in 2016: Two years after the US-supported coup. Infested with Nazis.
The US knew quite well that Ukraine was crawling with Nazis; in fact the CIA and other Western intel went looking for them to recruit them for the coup of 2014, plus the usual assortment of foreign mercenaries, about all of which there is irrefutable evidence.
