SAUDI WAHABBISM SERVES WESTERN IMPERIALISM

ANDRE VLTCHEK—In reality, Wahhabism does not have much to do with Islam. Or more precisely, it intercepts and derails the natural development of Islam, of its strife for an egalitarian arrangement of the world, and for socialism. The Brits were behind the birth of the movement; the Brits and one of the most radical, fundamentalist and regressive preachers of all times – Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab.

Iran and Pompeo’s 12-Point Ludicrous Wish List – Empire’s End of the Rope?

PETER KOENIG—What exactly is Washington and its Israeli handlers trying to achieve with Pompeo’s most clumsy approach? – “Regime Change”, perhaps? By activating and mobilizing the Fifth Column in Iran to create an internal revolt, with the objective of putting a new Shah-type puppet in place? – The desperation of creating a strong and oppressive “ally” in the Middle East – as Saudi Arabia and most of the Gulf States are ‘failing’ US trustworthiness – is hidden only by a thin veil.

Another False Flag CW Attack Coming in Syria?

STEPHEN LENDMAN—On Monday, Syria’s military and Russian reconciliation center members in the country found heavy weapons supplied by US-dominated NATO to ISIS and other terrorists, along with gas masks, and other protective gear for use during a CW attack.  According to retired Lebanese General Amin Hteit, the cache suggests preparation for another false flag CW incident to be wrongfully blamed on Syrian forces like earlier ones – used as pretexts for US-led aggression on Syrian military targets.

Iran in the crosshairs as the Empire enters its mad dog days

JOHN WIGHT—The grievous reality of Europe’s hideous lack of independence from Washington – independence of the type that once minded Charles De Gaulle to declaim, “Yes, it is Europe, from the Atlantic to the Urals, it is Europe, it is the whole of Europe, that will decide the fate of the world” –  has been laid bare. It presents Europe with a test. Does it wilt in the face of the Trump administration’s imperial arrogance and bellicosity? Or does it awaken and emerge, finally, from beneath Washington’s feet to play a positive and progressive role in world affairs?

Fisk: How Long Will We Pretend Palestinians Aren’t People? (Media critique)

ROBERT FISK—The victims are themselves the culprits. This is exactly what the Palestinians have had to endure for 70 years. Remember how they were to blame for their own exodus seven decades ago, because they followed the instructions of radio stations to leave their homes until the Jews of Israel were “driven into the sea”. Only of course, the radio broadcasts never existed. We still must thank Israel’s “new historians” for proving this. The broadcasts were a myth, part of Israel’s foundational national history invented to ensure that the new state – far from being founded on the ruins of others’ homes – was a land without people.

United Nations – Celebrating 70 Years of Human Rights – And Condoning 70 Years of Israel Massacring Palestine

PETER KOENIG—Trump’s decision – although refuted vehemently by the UN – has not only pushed peace light-years away into a phantom distance, but it has brought about a massacre – an unpardonable massacre – with Israeli soldiers armed to the teeth killing with live ammunition. Tens of thousands of unarmed Palestinians were protesting on the Gaza-Israeli border, in the middle of nowhere, at least 100 km away from the US Embassy inaugural celebration in Jerusalem. Israeli soldiers and police killed at least 60, twenty or more of them children and women, and injuring about 3,000 – people who could not be properly treated at hospitals.
