DANNY HAIPHONG—The Trump Administration has looked away from the carnage due to its strained relationship with much of the world. Only Trump’s advisor Jared Kushner has made a definitive statement on the matter, calling the protesters “part of the problem” for “provoking violence.” Kushner speaks fluidly in the language of the colonizer. Colonial powers throughout history have used the language of criminality and unruliness of the native population to justify the violent suppression of anti-colonial resistance.

The Trump White House is a Chaotic Clown Car Filled with Bozos Who Think They’re Brilliant
18 minutes readDAVE LINDORFF—But the concept didn’t work in Vietnam, which drove the US out. It didn’t work in Iraq, which is now an client state of Iran, it didn’t work in Afghanistan, where the US is still fighting the Taliban 17 years after invading that poorest of countries. Truth to tell, the only time the policy really has worked was against the tiny island nation of Grenada, where the primary resistance to the US armada that assaulted the place was a company of Cuban construction workers working on a new airport. (7000 medals were awarded to US military personnel following that triumphant victory.)

PETER KOENIG—What exactly is Washington and its Israeli handlers trying to achieve with Pompeo’s most clumsy approach? – “Regime Change”, perhaps? By activating and mobilizing the Fifth Column in Iran to create an internal revolt, with the objective of putting a new Shah-type puppet in place? – The desperation of creating a strong and oppressive “ally” in the Middle East – as Saudi Arabia and most of the Gulf States are ‘failing’ US trustworthiness – is hidden only by a thin veil.

US Secretary of State Pompeo presents war ultimatum to Iran
14 minutes readBILL VAN AUKEN—Pompeo placed the entire blame for the crisis in the Middle East on Iran. In reality, the region has been ravaged by a succession of US wars for regime-change—from Iraq to Libya and Syria. He placed responsibility for the war that has brought Yemen to the brink of starvation on Tehran, even as the US supplies the bombs and military support that enables its key regional ally Saudi Arabia to decimate the country.

Trump’s New Campaign Against Iran Will Not Achieve Its Aims
22 minutes readMOON OF ALABAMA—With painstaking work the Obama administration managed to get much of the world to agree to sanctions on Iran. Now Trump wants much more but he has no united international front behind him. No one trusts his word. The Europeans are enraged that Trump s threatens them with secondary sanctions if they stick to the agreement they signed and continue to deal with Iran. While they may eventually fold and to some extend stop dealing with Iran, they will also try to circumvent those unilateral U.S. sanctions.
