The 2012 presidential elections will probably show, once again, the strong hold that the “Lesser Evil” has over the mind of the American voter, as Obama presents himself as the only “sane” alternative to the Republicans. But while the moneyed classes may still gloat in the masses’ stupidity, times are indeed a-changing, and certainly not thanks to Barack Obama, but perhaps because of him. After 2012 fewer and fewer Americans will believe there’s a dime’s worth of difference between the two faces of the corporate party. And that critical realization may finally point a substantial number to question the system itself. Don’t expect overnight epiphanies, but once the system and not superficial personalities or manufactured issues are in play anything could happen. The world will have real change or it will have revolution. In both cases, revolutionary change is in the cards.
