[dropcap]S[/dropcap]tan Grant is a mixed race – Aboriginal and White – news anchor in Australia. In the clip below, he is presenting an argument for inclusiveness at the IQ2 Debate, Racism is Destroying the Australian Dream.
For those of us in the US, it is impossible to look at the history of the experience of the Aboriginal Australians and not see a repeat of the very policies and practices that have assaulted the First Nations people of the Americas. It is heartbreaking, and it is an outrage that still is not being address. It is clear from Stan Grant’s presentation that the wounds there are not only far from healing, they are still occurring at various levels of Australian institutions and society.
