Said Michael Parenti:
Supreme Court Justice Scalia just died an hour or so ago. He will not be missed by everyone. Many of the wimpy Democrats are of course already hailing him as “brilliant.” Brilliant, bullshit. He served the powerful corporations and the conniving plutocracy. He pretended to abide by his empty inflated “Originalist” constitutionalism. He battered the weak, stomped on the defenseless, and strutted around dwelling on his judicial contrivances. He died while hunting in West Texas. He died the way he lived, destroying the weak and the innocent. Obama is probably kissing his deceased ass as I write.
Parenti, as usual, is absolutely right. Just see below.
What Obama, in his misguided sense of serious duty about his impersonation of a US president forgets, probably due to his cravenness and innate opportunism, is that he could have very well passed on this eulogy. Simply said nothing. Doubt that many of the great unwashed would have noticed or cared. But the man performs for the sake of his mentors and handlers—the plutocracy.

It is the mark of christian dominion that those in high places – above the human masses, animals and nature, have little if any sympathy for living beings: animals, the poor or other disenfranchised humans.
And so it was for Scalia…. who according according to his closest friends ‘ there was nothing that he loved more than his family, going to church and hunting…’
The catholic church thrives on hunting, victimizing animals, young children, and proselytizing to the poor to obtain more funding from their meagre earnings for its obscene splendor in the face of so much suffering…
Recently a nun in the mid-west, was celebrated by her parish for bagging a huge buck… She represents a long history of hunting clergy and priests… So that Scalia’s affiliation with the church and his love of destruction and violence to animals, immigrants, the poor is also celebrated… as it establishes him as a paragon of dominion:
Genesis 9:1-3 “The fear and dread of you shall rest on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the air, on everything that creeps on the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; into your hand they are delivered. Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and just as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.'”
His timely death occurred the night before he was to go on a hunt… sparing his victims for the time being. May they enjoy their freedom and their lives.

‘the practice of torturing animals is not primitive as stated in this email*…torturing animals is a result of the teaching of ‘dominion’..primitive people were not cruel. They hunted, but they never tortured animals. Conversely ‘dominion’ allows for the torture of animals, via science laboratories and factory farms because it teaches that humans are dominant and can do anything they please to further themselves. Primitive people did not live this way…’ Sharon
*primitive changed to ‘crude’:
In the second decision the (US) Supreme Court refused to ban the crude, vicious practice of animal sacrifice.
Ruth,
Devout Catholic Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, like many government and religious leaders, was a psychopath who loved to kill animals and fully supported dominion over all animals. This sick man should never have been allowed to be a supreme court justice. He should have been in jail where all psychopaths that enjoy killing animals belong.
Arthur
Thank You, Ruth
I agree with You. There is very little legislation, if any, and I think there is none, enacted in nations guided by judeo.christian.islam morality that protects animals from violence and from premature, untimely death. By Christian.Judeo.Islamic founded laws, protected are just the profiters * but only for a short time, will finally in the end : a cruel, wrong lifestyle, opposite to Nature’s laws, hurts all animals, humans and profiteers too; Nature hurts all humans who hurt animals in any way, Nature do that by cancers and heart, brain and chronic diseases, their billions dollars or euros canot help them.
Law of Nature always has the last word and does not recognize dollars, euros etc. The laws of Nature are fair, accurate and certain. Nature sends a message to humans: you, humans, are just like animals: the part of whole nature. Every part of Nature is equally important. All life is equally sacred. By Nature laws, that means by Ahimsa way for now on this Planet live only Jains and humans who respect Nature laws although they are not any religion followers.

Scalia – A Paragon of Dominion…& Epilogue
_______________________________________
US Supreme Court Justice – Antonin Scalia died at a posh hunting resort on Saturday, February 13, 2016, in West Texas, the night before a hunt. He died as he lived – destroying the lives of animals and underprivileged humans, those not endowed with the privileges he squandered.
Two recent decisions by the US Supreme Court reflect the dominionist leanings of Scalia. The first decision shot down a ban on crush videos, a sadistic form of depravity, originating in china, where a small animal such as a kitten is stomped to death by a shapely, stiletto heeled woman’s leg. The majority view held that banning such cruel material would violate freedom of speech, freedom of speech respecting humans & their right to torture and kill harmless animals. In the second decision the Supreme Court refused to ban the crude, vicious practice of animal sacrifice:
THE SUPREME COURT: Animal Sacrifice; Court, Citing Religious Freedom, Voids a Ban on Animal Sacrificeshttp://www.nytimes.com/1993/06/12/us/supreme-court-animal-sacrifice-court-citing-religious-freedom-voids-ban-animal.html
Banning sacrifice in a judeo.christian nation would violate freedom of religion, specifically the freedom of dominion religions to terrorize and destroy animal lives. Scalia sided with the majority decision in both cases.
Scalia’s legacy for those who yearn for compassion will be that of man impressed with his own importance – to the extent that the rights of others, including the right to live free from exploitation and violence may be trampled on as a stiletto heeled fetish and excused by his christian background, where he first learned that human supremacy entitles him to devalue the lives of animals, immigrants, the poor – all the disenfranciised of dominion.

THERE ARE NO HUNTING JUDGES IN INDIA, (conservative or liberal) where ahimsa informs their sensibility and decisions with legislation the encourages ever increasing progress for animals.
Justice Antonin Scalia: In his own words
Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan bagged herself a deer on a hunting trip to Wyoming with Justice Antonin Scalia last fall. You heard that right: Despite finding themselves on opposite sides of major court decisions, the liberal Obama-appointee and the conservative Reagan-appointee have become hunting buddies since Kagan was confirmed in 2010 as the fourth woman in history to sit on the highest court in the land.
“I shoot birds with him, fairly — you know, two or three times a year now,” Justice Kagan said during a wide-ranging and delightful Aspen Ideas Festivalconversation with Jeffrey Rosen, president of the National Constitution Center, on Saturday. ” — he said to me, ‘It’s time for big game hunting.’ And we actually went out to Wyoming this past fall to shoot deer and antelope. Uh, and we did.” http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2013/06/justice-kagan-and-justice-scalia-are-hunting-buddies-really/277401/

EPILOGUE
Hunting Buddies… Antonin Scalia & Elena Kagan… united by a lust for bloodshed and violence.
Liberal or Conservative… both sides of the political spectrum in a dominion nation reserve the right to destroy animal lives, as a human prerogative, a show of status, handed down 5000 years ago in genesis. Hunting judges Scalia & Kagan must prove their prowess by killing harmless animals. Though they represent two sides of the political spectrum, they understand their importance is enhanced by a show of pleasure killing – It cements their position at the top of the dominion hierarchy. Justices Kagan & Scalia may disagree on human issues, but it is their passion for killing unites them as obsessed with the need to maintain human supremacy, as they sacrifice any hope for a more compassionate society.
There is very little legislation enacted in nations guided by judeo.christian morality that protects animals from violence. More often than not ‘western’ animal legislation is geared towards enhancing human profit, with a thin veneer of compassion for appearance sake. As noted above the human right to freedom of speech and religion easily invalidates appreciation of the value of animal lives in decisions by a court invested in the morality of Genesis 9:1-3.
The Indian High Court, not limited by dominion almost always rules in favor of an animal’s right to live free from violence. The legislation is broad-based, comprehensive and does not shirk from banning cruel traditions, where reverence for life is more important than preserving cruel archaic beliefs simply to placate a mainstream religion. The Indian judiciary is guided by AHIMSA, which equates the value of human lives…. and with it the right of both to remain free from violence.
“People should realise that in a modern humane society, the sacrifice of animals on the name of religion or ancient rituals, is merely moving back the clock of civilisation and is a reflection of a people with little sensitivity and a crude sensibility” http://www.animalinfo.50megs.com/custom.html

“All things breathing, all things existing, all living beings whatever, would not be slain or treated with violence, or insulted, or tortured or driven away. This is the pure unchanging eternal law, which the wise ones who know the world have proclaimed…” Jain Acharanga Sutra
“He who harms animals has not understood or renounced deeds of sin…He who understands the nature of sin against animals is called a Sage.” Jain Acharanga Sutra
Those who cherish reverence for life will not find it in the courts of a judeo.christian nation or in the religions that foster dominion.
