EYE ON THE MEDIA
Yea, immerse yourself again in another excellent example of the surreal filth that passes for political analysis in America, as a group of overwhelmingly pro-status quo, conservative presstitutes discuss the GOP debate in South Carolina (Feb 13). About the host, little needs to be added here. Connoisseurs of disinformation are well acquainted with CBS’s Face the Nation’s creds as a prominent platform for ruling cliques gabfests. Truth has not made an appearance on this program for decades, and the passing of the baton from stodgy and smugly complacent Bob Schieffer, as servile a media apparatchik as we are likely to find, to John Dickerson, assures continuity of lies and appalling mediocrity. Indeed, these are people who guarantee mediocrity, and that’s why they are chosen—assuming the wealthy puppet-masters even understand that much, for they may be operating under the very same brainwash they inflict on everyone else. Special mention in this line up goes to the durable and ever-cloying disinformer Peggy Noonan, a one-woman media fungus, who takes this opportunity to lavish praise on Scalia. Sad to say, she represents yet another ubiquitous reactionary Irish-American (think of Reagan himself, for whom she served as speechwriter, Pat Buchanan and many others). Noonan, now fittingly attached to a sinecure with the WSJ for services rendered, and a revered panelist and contributor to scores of “conservative” venues, continues to bloviate with her trademark air of pained authoritativeness, of which she possesses none.
