Perfected by the Clintons, speechifying to audiences of billionaires and Wall Street insiders has become ONE of the many ways the plutocracy repays its top servants for a job well done. It's irrefutable that the post-tenure payments exist also for influence peddling, but the ruling class is primarily keen on making these people comfortably rich to show future presidents and other top bureaucrats that they, too, will be made millionaires if they faithfully carry out the wishes of the global billionaire class.
I mention this —obvious as it sounds—because a clueless commenter, who saw nothing wrong with Obama's or Clinton's ridiculously priced speeches to fat cats who could care less about the platitudes being served, and who did not understand that this is a semi-concealed way of settling deferred post-job bribes, political IOUs given to these politicos, argued that these payments could not be bribes because Obama was no longer in the White House and could not do their bidding any longer! How innocent of the real world can you get?
Meanwhile as the signs of Obama's corruption surface everywhere, the incurably dumb liberals, not to mention the regular Obots, continue to worship and applaud this cynical prostitute as if he were a model to emulate. Of course, given lesser evilism's new lease on life facilitated by the uber imbecilic Donald Trump and his grotesque gang of inept militarists and businessmen, the condition may be around for a long time. Brace yourselves.

NOTE: Yes, this is a report by FoxNews, which stinks. We know that. But this report is largely spot on. Like a broken clock that gives the right time twice a day, if only for a fleeting moment, this clip manages to convey more truth than disinformation. Besides, let us remember that FoxNews, like the Republican party, are not much worse than the "more respectable" media and the Democrats: they are ALL instruments of the same rotten, criminal system, carrying the same messages and implementing the same ruling class goals.

Obama, last month, addressed clients of Northern Trust Corp. in New York to a tune of $400,000, Bloomberg reported, citing a person familiar with the appearance. The report said Obama, last week, also met with the private equity giant the Carlyle Group—which was unreported-- and spoke about his time as president.

He is reportedly due to deliver a keynote at a Cantor Fitzgerald health-care conference. Ken Lewis, a spokesman for Obama, told Bloomberg that he gives speeches that are “true to his values.” “

His paid speeches in part have allowed President Obama to contribute $2 million to Chicago programs offering job training and employment opportunities to low-income youth,” he said. Fox Business reported in April about Obama’s upcoming speeches. Another spokesman told FBN that Obama—as a candidate—pulled in more money than any candidate in history, and went on to “implement the toughest reforms on Wall Street since FDR.”
In 2009, Obama famously lashed out at bankers, calling them “fat cats” who don’t get it. “I did not run for office to be helping out a bunch of fat cat bankers on wall Street,” he told “60 Minutes "They're still puzzled why is it that people are mad at the banks. Well, let's see," he said. "You guys are drawing down $10, $20 million bonuses after America went through the worst economic year that it's gone through in -- in decades, and you guys caused the problem. And we've got 10 percent unemployment." The Wall Street Journal at the time described the relationship between the White House and Wall Street as “frosty from the start.” Sean Coffey, a Democratic donor, told Bloomberg, “Not everyone’s going to be a Jimmy Carter, who does purely good works after he gets out. “I don’t think getting any grief for doing this is going to bother him at all.”
