The Genius of Leonardo da Vinci

From time to time CBS and the rest of the  huge propaganda engines of the West produce something that is not intrinsically toxic and devious from a political standpoint, and which may even have some artistic merit as a cultural item. Here's an example.

Artist Leonardo da Vinci produced two of the most famous paintings in history, "The Last Supper" and the "Mona Lisa." But he was also passionate about medical discoveries and military inventions, some of which were centuries ahead of their time. Walter Isaacson, author of bestselling biographies of Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein and Benjamin Franklin, has written a new book about da Vinci, and he talks with Dr. Jon LaPook about why this Renaissance Man's mind and curiosity were so extraordinary.

The Best Definition of Donald Trump We Have Found

In his zeal to prove to his antagonists in the War Party that he is as bloodthirsty as their champion, Hillary Clinton, and more manly than Barack Obama, Trump seems to have gone “play-crazy” — acting like an unpredictable maniac in order to terrorize the Russians into forcing some kind of dramatic concessions from their Syrian allies, or risk Armageddon. However, the “play-crazy” gambit can only work when the leader is, in real life, a disciplined and intelligent actor, who knows precisely what actual boundaries must not be crossed. That ain’t Donald Trump — a pitifully shallow and ill-disciplined man, emotionally handicapped by obscene privilege and cognitively crippled by white American chauvinism. By pushing Trump into a corner and demanding that he display his most bellicose self, or be ceaselessly mocked as a “puppet” and minion of Russia, a lesser power, the War Party and its media and clandestine services have created a perfect storm of mayhem that may consume us all. 1. Leonardo drew on a deep inner conviction of reverence for life…. the lives of animals and humans:

“The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look on the murder of men.” Leonardo da Vinci

He was ahead of his time and ahead of the Christian religion, which to this day insists on the slaughter of animals as a privilege of human supremacy. It is a brutal, cold-hearted tradition that inspires violence to the weak and disenfranchised and to those who do not worship jesus::

Genesis 9:1-3 “The fear and dread of you shall rest on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the air, on everything that creeps on the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; into your hand they are delivered. Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and just as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.”

Perhaps when one is not haunted by demons of violence, it is possible to focus on a higher level of existence and creativity.

  2. “The uploader has not made this video available in your country”

    “sorry about it” is gone.

Can Mr. P.G. (or, anybody) explain how YouTube functions ?
