Critical facts left out of “60 Minutes” interview targeting RT
EDITOR'S NOTE: WE LOOKED EVERYWHERE FOR 60 MINUTES' WHOLE SEGMENT WITH MARGARITA SIMONYAN BUT ALL WE COULD FIND IS CLEARLY EDITED SNIPPETS.

Hatchet job attempted by CBS' 60 Minutes
They never factored Margarita Simonyan's robust skills as a debater, doubly fortified by truth. Stahl, to her shame, collaborated in what is by any standard a veiled attack on the First Amendment.

American television’s most celebrated newsmagazine “60 Minutes” featured RT’s editor-in-chief last night. However, critics say accusations against the network unfairly targeted employees with ‘unfounded assumptions.’ RT America’s Ed Schultz and senior writer at Alternet Max Blumenthal have more.

CBS ANTIRUSSIA PROPAGANDA
What CBS has allowed to reach YouTube —some of which is reproduced below—is merely a carefully edited version of the 60 Minutes interview with embarrassingly eloquent statements by RT chief Margarita Simonyan.

60 Minutes "confronts" Russia's state-run media RT on election meddling

Notice the ridiculously triumphalistic and mildly intimidating tone used by CBS disinformer Norah O'Donnell when proclaiming that "US intelligence" (we are supposed to be impressed by that)  has established that Russia interfered with US elections...as if that was proof conclusive of anything instead of precisely the opposite. Only morons or disinformers like O'Donnell would play such a dubious role, but that is what these pampered people do day in and day out, and are richly rewarded for it. As it is, Simonyan crushes the line attempted by her designated inquisitor, in this case 60 Minutes veteran staffer Leslie Stahl.

As published on Jan 5, 2018 by CBS—

U.S. intelligence agencies believe Russia used disinformation warfare to try to interfere with the 2016 presidential election. An American intelligence report finds that one of the weapons in the Kremlin's arsenal was its state-run news network, RT, formerly Russia Today, which can be seen in the U.S. "60 Minutes" correspondent Lesley Stahl spoke with RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan about the allegations. Watch the full report Sunday on "60 Minutes."

BONUS, MORE INNUENDO AGAINST RUSSIA
For good measure, the US media are happy to generate and circulate material like this, too. It's all part of the unrelenting campaign to blacken the image of Russia.
