APPENDIX
Dan Rather telling us how he and Cenk Uygur are now going to turn the tide of shit engulfing the nation.
The most disgusting thing—as usual—is to observe the accolades and ecstatic comments from the legions of liberal morons still hypnotised by the mainstream media (which Uygur and his TYT have become, albeit through the backdoor.)

The Best Definition of Donald Trump We Have Found
In his zeal to prove to his antagonists in the War Party that he is as bloodthirsty as their champion, Hillary Clinton, and more manly than Barack Obama, Trump seems to have gone “play-crazy” -- acting like an unpredictable maniac in order to terrorize the Russians into forcing some kind of dramatic concessions from their Syrian allies, or risk Armageddon. However, the “play-crazy” gambit can only work when the leader is, in real life, a disciplined and intelligent actor, who knows precisely what actual boundaries must not be crossed. That ain’t Donald Trump -- a pitifully shallow and ill-disciplined man, emotionally handicapped by obscene privilege and cognitively crippled by white American chauvinism. By pushing Trump into a corner and demanding that he display his most bellicose self, or be ceaselessly mocked as a “puppet” and minion of Russia, a lesser power, the War Party and its media and clandestine services have created a perfect storm of mayhem that may consume us all.— Glen Ford, Editor in Chief, Black Agenda Report
As a comment on Johnstone’s article about #metoo and the mainstream acceptance:

And now discovering an article I missed by Johnstone, explains why Counterpunch et alia hate her:

(and why WSWS ignores her)
One of the best comments on Johnstone’s piece on feminism: Humanity rapes. Men rape women. The rich rape the poor. Religion rapes the mind. Powerful countries rape weaker countries for their resources. All of humanity rapes the environment. It’s a story as old as mankind. There’s a lot of good people in the world but as a whole, we suck as a species. People with power over others abuse that power for their own benefit. Rape takes many forms beyond forced sex. Many people lie to themselves about the society that mankind has built. They tell themselves that they are… Read more »
The problem of media in the US and elsewhere is one of class, political power. Who owns the US media? Until the media (including so-called “public” venues like PBS) are controlled by the people and serve the interests of the public there is not going to be any sort of useful or honest news, only rampant presstitution. We cannot expect fair reporting and good explanations of reality from media owned or conrolled, overtlly or under the table by a handful of billionaires and staffed by rabid careerists and opportunists.
The cable TV stations ‘news’ departments of FOX, CNN and WNBC started to resemble closely the program of ‘The Real Housewives” in different cities as well as the shopping mall rag The International Enquirer, beloved by our president. With an unending stream of good looking young women, all very carefully coifed, made up and finely dressed, the petty squabbling, interpersonal warfare and entirely spurious and minimally interesting vituperation against Trump and each other is appalling to say the least. In contrast to men who can discard after some time their animus because it is far too circumstantial and burdensome for… Read more »
You make painful but terribly astute points about women’s psychology, the lizard brain in all of us, probably, wired for God knows what—surely something better— but definitely wasted in abysmally petty fights and never ending feuds that lead nowhere except a colossal waste of time for all concerned, and, hey, its tedious, folks! Get a life! The self-absorption of these pampered women is repugnant, but these shows present a cumulative case for the overthrow and ultimate destruction of the class they so faithfully represent.
