New neofascist regime in Bolivia offers many cases of false consciousness in action

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he new fascists in power in Bolivia have concentated on intimidating the left and indigenous Morales suporters, which, fortunately represent the vast majority of the population.  As the regime tries to repress the people's counteroffensive unleashing its goon squads in police and army uniforms, it's always painful to watch goons doing the dirty work of the very same elites who have long oppressed their own people.  For, normally, who are these members of the army and police in Latin America if not the same indigenous people, peasants and urban proletarians, they have been trained to repress? False consciousness and class divisions are the building blocks of illegitimate power.
