Vox Populi, Vox Dei: “The System Rots from Within”.

The system rots from within. We now have millions of Republicans that believe — without sufficient evidence — that the 2020 election was stolen. But before Democrats look down their nose at these people they should look in the mirror. Millions of Democrats also believe — without sufficient evidence — in the largest mainstream conspiracy theory in recent history: that Russia rigged the 2016 elections. Now we know that the US ranks last among so-called western democracies for election integrity. But this is due to long-standing systematic problems that demand serious systemic reforms. Instead, the party bosses are content to exchange accusations of “coup” plotting, fraud, and foreign meddling. If you are wondering what is really undermining the legitimacy of US elections then look no further than the two-party system itself.
