When looking at Oliver and his program you are given the illusion of a knowledgeable man talking to you for a half hour. You forget, Oliver has a staff of writers giving him the proper talking points making sure he doesn’t deviate from the script.

John Oliver is a court approved jester. He dare not tell you to abandon the two corporate parties or create working class movements. If he did, HBO would show him the door.
