A ceasefire, notes, Galloway, is a necessary condition but totally insufficient to end the barbarism of 76 years against the Palestinian people, therefore, caution my friends to restricting your demands to a simple ceasefire. "Because I have lived through so many ceasefires before...and they never end the occupation. The ceasefires never give Palestinians the right of self-determination..their legal and mora right. The ceasefire never end the starvation. They never end the mass incarceration of young Palestinians in Israeli dungeons...And so, my demands are not only for a ceasefire. We need a ceasefire, we need a complete Israeli withdrawal from Palestinian territory, we need the abolition of the Apartheid state, over all the illegally acquired and held Palestinian territory—the land of Gaza and the West Bank, and the people of the world who believe in a 2-state solution, have an obligation now to put this solution on the table...

Everybody chatters about a two-state ‘solution’ for Palestine. That is a purely imperialistic approach, whereby Palestinians are forever forcibly removed from their own lands. It is like with the American Indians who are left within reservations and often lost holy places to be occupied by settlers. The only half-way dignified ‘solution’ is a one-state one whereby all citizens have equal powers. Should this overwhelm the Jewish population, then let it be so, as it will be a natural process.
