PAUL EDWARDS—Under Hitler, Nazis became, as was promised, more repressive, politically punishing, and viciously racist, murdering leadership of the parties that had opposed them, the Communists—who had gotten nearly as many votes—and Social Democrats. With those parties decapitated, organized resistance ceased in a nation divided between a minority supporting Hitler and everyone else.

ICH’s Tom Feeley is now fighting for his life
11 minutes readMy dear friend and senior contributing editor to this publication, Paul Edwards, has just alerted me to Tom Feeley’s struggle to stay alive. For those in the genuinely progressive, anti-imperialist community, who, for some reason, never heard of Tom, let me just put it simply: Tom Feeley is editor at Information Clearing House, which he correctly describes as, “A fiercely, independent source of news and information.” Yes, ICH is a key link in the ridiculously thin line of grotesquely underfunded websites still devoted to truth, truth when it matters most. ICH is a massive archive of genuine independent leftist analysis, and an invaluable tool in the contest with the forces working to impose an Orwellian world of fake democracy, constant war, widespread oppression and exploitation, and capitalogenic ecocide. Indeed, ICH would not be around without Tom’s unwavering dedication. This is why Paul’s fraternal words resonate so much in this quarter:

Debunking Anti-Chinese Psy Ops: Social Credit as Distasteful Necessity in an Age of Asymmetric Warfare
17 minutes readMATT EHRET—As I laid out in my recent article ‘Guterres and the Great Reset: How our Economy Became a Time Bomb’, those figures preparing to pull the plug on the bubble known as the western financial system tend to orbit one particular organization called the World Economic Forum, with names such as Klaus Schwab, Henry Kissinger and George Soros.
And while consumers of anti-Chinese propaganda might here exclaim that these individuals have all spoken well of China at different times, the only thing which Schwab, Soros or Kissinger admire is China’s centralized power structures and social credit systems. Everything that China is actually doing as far as building the New Silk Road, unleashing long-term credit for development, empowering sovereign nation states to stand on their two feet and ending global poverty are despised.

What Makes the United States Richer than its G7 Partners? Imperialism, not Lower Taxes
20 minutes readSTEVE GOWANS—Mankiw’s analysis [as befits that of all academic whores—Ed] is risibly superficial. The idea that taxation undermines incentives to work rests on the notion that effort is proportional to its return. Taxes reduce the return on effort and therefore discourage work. If this is true, the opposite is also true: the greater the return, the greater the effort. By this logic, Mankiw ought to advocate a robust increase in the minimum wage, reasoning that the more money people are able to make, the more likely they are to want to work. But he’s not. Instead, Mankiw’s prescriptions invariably favor employers over workers
