ROGER HARRIS—The legitimate concern about fascism, when associated exclusively with Trump and his followers, has been used by some self-identified progressives as an excuse to embrace the Democrats. The struggle against “neofascist” Trumpism has been coopted into a surrender into the main party now in charge of the imperialist state and increasingly distinguishing itself as the leading proponent of war.

Electric planes may be the (near) future of aviation. Or maybe aircraft with nuclear engines.
5 minutes readt’s generally foolish to make firm predictions about the future, but it is becoming clear that aviation—commercial and military—may be in for a drastic overhaul in the coming decades, as electric engines and new designs demonstrate their cost efficiency in fuel expenditures and lower environmental degradation. The discussion below chiefly covers the West, but we know that Russia, easily one of the most scientifically original and creative nations in modern history, and soon China, may have their own solutions to these challenges, including the development of nuclear engines for commercial and military jets, a concept already applied by Russia to a growing number of their defensive missiles.

RENE GONZALEZ—In the trial, we saw the prosecutors threaten an American general that his pension would be taken away if he testified in favor of the defense. We saw all kinds of violations, mockeries of due process. … It had nothing to do with what we see in the movies where the accused has every right to defend himself.
Really, I think the trial taught us to better understand why an individual like Joe Biden, who is painted, presented or sold as liberal and moderate, can stand in front of a camera and say no to reopening family remittances because the Cuban government is supposedly going to appropriate them. Why he can then stand before a camera and suddenly offer us vaccines, but insist that an international organization has to come to distribute them among the population because the Cuban government — the only one in Latin America that has created a vaccine — supposedly isn’t going to.

CONNOR FREEMAN—America’s new Cold War with China is a bi-partisan imperial project. In 2011, former President Barack Obama began it in earnest, dubbing it the “Asia Pivot.” The ‘pivot’ entails surrounding China with hundreds of bases and shifting two thirds of all U.S. naval and air forces to the Asia-Pacific, the greatest military buildup since World War II.
Putative outsider Donald Trump took office and sizably enlarged the U.S. military’s footprint in what is now referred to as the “Indo-Pacific” region and significantly increased provocations of China.
Now President Joe Biden and his hawk infested administration are escalating tensions with Beijing to heights previously unseen.
