BRIAN BERLETIC/ NEW ATLAS—The US has announced it will be sending General Atomics “Gray Eagle” drones – similar to the infamous “Predator” drone – to Ukraine. However, the US is only initially sending 4 drones and the Gray Eagle is comparable to Ukraine’s existing (or perhaps previously existing) Bayraktar TB2 drones produced by Turkey. The Gray Eagle drones will face the same limitations Ukraine’s Bayraktar drones faced, providing no means to change the course of the conflict, but almost certainly making General Atomics money alongside other US arms manufacturers, namely Lockheed Martin and Raytheon.

MATT TAIBBI—RT was taken off the air in a more complex but no less unsettling censorship episode, but the notion that Ventura got there by screwing up or washing out is not just fiction, it turns reality upside down. As of today, people in Kherson, Zaporozhie, Donetsk and Lugansk regions are getting Russian passports, telephone cards with the Russian code number and their territories are being joined with Russian energy and water supply systems. Many Russian regions are in charge of sending builders, engineers and all kinds of equipment to specific towns to repair and rebuild infrastructure.
