RAINER SHEA—The ultimate goal of the Russia campaign is to keep enough people from venturing out of the establishment propaganda echo chambers, and from accessing the information they’ll need for revolt. Despotism, especially the faux-democracy that America’s oligarchy represents, depends on the population being kept in intellectual poverty. When people can’t recognize when the media is lying to them into wars, don’t know enough about their preferred politicians and parties to hold them accountable, and have a dim understanding about the history and workings of their government, they can’t fight tyranny even if they know they’re being oppressed.

In the US they say, “Everything is bigger in Texas” – I have been to China, and they should say: “Everything is 10 times bigger than in Texas, in China”. Stand before the terracotta warriors at Xi’an and you’ll see what I mean.

JIM MILES—I have to admit that the Brits are very clever and careful with they manner in which they manipulate their mother tongue. Along with the usual rebuttals the UK rep presented an argument about the use of the phrase “highly likely” in regards to the reasoning why Russia was guilty of the Skripal attack. The UK representative said it was a reflection of the British judicial system in that “only a court can finally determine culpability.”
