ERIC ZUESSE—Here is a news-report about one of the U.S.-backed-and-funded ‘Neo-Nazi’ (i.e.: racist-fascist) organizations’ training-camp for Ukrainian children. (Where it says “A young boy holds a mock weapon and creeps behind a wooden fence as he takes part in drills at the summer camp” this “wooden fence” is shown festooned with German Nazi Party insignia but the right-wing newspaper makes no note of, nor comment about, that incredibly significant fact.) This is a multi-generational operation by the CIA going all the way back to its founding in 1947, by Harry Truman, warping FDR’s ww2-only OSS against the German nazis — against the Nazi Party, the original nazis — to become instead the newly-created U.S. regime’s coup-and-subversion machine, to grab control ultimately over the Soviet Union and now Russia, so as to achieve the world’s first all-encompassing empire. Carlson and Fridman appear to be ignorant of all of that history. Not only is Putin rational to be determined to denazify Ukraine but he’d be derelict in his duties to the Russian nation if he weren’t.

MICHEL CHOSSUDOVSKY—It is important to note that Julian Assange from the outset was supported by the mainstream media, which was involved in releasing selected and redacted versions of the leaks. And despite Assange’s arrest and imprisonment, Wikileaks continues to release compromising US diplomatic cables, the latest of which (reported by McClatchy, April 17, 2019) pertains to “evidence that US troops executed at least 10 Iraqi civilians” including a 5-month-old infant.
At the outset of the Wikileaks project, the mainstream media including the New York Times, The Guardian and the Economist praised Julian Assange. The British elites supported him. Assange became a personality. It was a vast Public Relations campaign. It was a money-making undertaking for the corporate media.

EDITOR—When Stewart first “retired” from the TV spotlight about a decade ago, we were not among the mourners. In fact, as card-carrying contrarians, we celebrated Stewart’s departure in the only way we saw fit: By reposting this classic, hard-to-surpass analysis by Steve Almond of what Jon Stewart and his protegé Stephen Colbert really represent in the maelstrom of American culture. As Almond astutely notes, “far from actually serving a newsworthy role, let alone consistently educating mass audiences and criticizing the empire…Stewart and Colbert are trivializers of evil, their legacy one of defanging the truth about systemic evil by hurling toothless parody at it.”

Bibi’s Endgame: A Ghastly Humanitarian Crisis Followed by Forced Expulsion
by Mike Whitney12 minutes readMIKE WHITNEY—The reason Israel continues to kill non-combatants who are in-no-way connected to Hamas, is because it convinces everyone else that the bombing is “indiscriminate” which, in turn, suggests that the perpetrator is a deranged madman driven by irrational hatred. This is how one terrorizes the public into doing whatever is demanded of them. We expect that much of Israel’s current pysops in Gaza was meticulously worked out with a battery of behavioral psychologists long before the first bomb was dropped, perhaps, years before the Hamas attack on October 7.

SABBY SABS—Sabby talks about the admirable example of Dearborn’s mayor, Abdullah Hammoud, who embodies his [majority Arab-descent) constitutents’ commitment to principle over politicking and opportunistic power, in this case refusing to support Biden unless he promises a ceasefire in Gaza, with assurances that a Palestinian state will be negotiated soon afterward. And, most importantly, they will not wait. If Biden wants their vote in 2024, he will have to deliver in advance of the election.
