DANIEL L—Ames and Taibbi wrote all manner of expose articles on the corruption of the Boris Eltzin administration, the World Bank, the IMF, and USAID. One of their favorite targets was that pompous moron, Michael McFaul, then a World Bank “consultant” who later became U.S. Ambassador under O’Bongo. Arguably our worst-ever ambassador, the Russian Foreign Ministry basically ignored him, and then threw USAID and many US-backed NGO’s out of the country for good.

From Caitlin Johnstone—The Kremlin Did Not Kill Itself: Notes From The Edge Of The Narrative Matrix
28 minutes readCAITLIN JOHNSTONE—Western mass media are saturating the airwaves with the narrative that Wednesday’s drone bombing of the Kremlin was a “false flag”, by which they mean that Russia did it to themselves to advance some nefarious agenda. False flags are a thing and they do happen, but to act like that’s the most likely explanation for the Kremlin bombing when Russia is currently at war with a neighbor who has the means, motive and opportunity is something only a propagandist would do. Garland denounces the cynical fraud represented by the “uniparty” (or “duopoly”), with neither wing of it being genuinely interested in working for peace —actually the opposite is true—or the abandonment of imperialism/exceptionalism. Garland is clear about his rejection of candidates in either party, including Trump, who bills himself as an “outsider”, but his way of governing is opportunistic and centered on favoring the interests of the billionaire class. Trump, notes Garland, may not be so eager to deepen the conflict with Russia or China, but he may still act like a typical imperialist in other regions, such as Latin America. The discussion also covers the potential for pushback against the Biden machine by Democratic Party challengers, especially Robert Kennedy Jr, and other candidates representing genuine antiwar constituencies, like Tulsi Gabbard.

It is important to consider the political and cultural fallout from this event in order to understand the impact it will have on our society and the freedom of expression we are supposedly entitled to.
