RAMIN MAZAHERI—The nationalist view of modern history obscures the fact that it is ideologies which matter, not borders. Ideologies are what produce and define management systems – i.e. governments – and it’s crystal clear that the last 15 years have seen the socialist-inspired management system (China, Iran, North Korea and to a lesser extent Russia) defeat the liberalism-inspired management system economically, militarily and politically. Liberalism is at a Great Depression-level nadir in terms of global admiration.

INDRAJIT—As that IPCC report says, “there is a growing realisation that mere monetary value of income growth is insufficient to measure national welfare and individual well-being.” What this mouthful is talking about is really degrowth, ie stopping the endless greed in rich countries and bringing the poor up to a shared level of prosperity.
Instead of the neoliberal idea of everything (including the planet) operating within a market, this is the idea of markets operating within a society.

BILLY BOB—The inculcated conceptualization of autonomous terrorist groups existing and violently pursuing their radical agendas while the West tirelessly works to track them and protect innocent people (you know, the basic understanding of “terrorism” as spread by Hollywood and the State Department on a daily basis) is absolutely false and entirely detached from objective reality. Terrorism is the tool of the elites. Those that the West calls “terrorists” but do not actually control (like Hezbollah, the IRGC, and the Houthis) of course are not terrorists at all. They are popular groups that resist Western imperialism and who fight against Western backed terrorists (like AL Qaeda and IS).

Youhoo! Tucker! Here is why Putin calls for denazification (which you called “the dumbest thing I ever heard of”).
by Don Hank53 minutes readDON HANK—It eventually dawned on me that this Russophobia to which I was exposed – and didn’t know its name yet – was only part of a bigger phenomenon that I call Westernness, which is in fact an infectious psycho-social disease, ie, primarily a way of thinking and functioning, one of whose symptoms is a general recalcitrant mediocrity and incompetence that in America has spread throughout academe, the professions, politics (in particular), the military, the think tanks, intelligence agencies, the media, Big Religion and the general populace. But it is also a sociopathy, making it invisible to the wide public.

CRADLE IRAQ CORRESPONDENT—Members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives are actively working to proceed with a law to remove foreign forces from Iraq, with majority representation from Shia-dominated central and southern Iraq. However, Sunni factions remain ambiguous in their stance toward the coordination framework blocs’ efforts to enact such legislation. In addition, Kurdish parties, notably the Kurdistan Democratic Party, vehemently oppose any consideration of US military withdrawal from Iraq.
In response to these dynamics, the Russian Foreign Ministry has expressed Moscow’s willingness to bolster Iraqi forces following the departure of unwanted foreign troops. The Russian offer has compounded the pressure on Washington, prompting a reassessment of the waning US strategic position in West Asia.
