EDITOR—The panel discusses the colossal moral turpitude and imbecility of today’s leadership in the “collective West”, constantly starting wars and other acts of hostility against scores of nations that reject their imperialist rule, and why the populations subject to their criminal, undemocratic rule need to push for a new kind of political system assuring freedom and democracy instead of a fake democracy restricted to the super-rich elites. ONLY that can assure people all over the world a chance at surviving nuclear war and other catastrophes brought about by a decadent imperial system.

CRADLE IRAQ CORRESPONDENT—Members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives are actively working to proceed with a law to remove foreign forces from Iraq, with majority representation from Shia-dominated central and southern Iraq. However, Sunni factions remain ambiguous in their stance toward the coordination framework blocs’ efforts to enact such legislation. In addition, Kurdish parties, notably the Kurdistan Democratic Party, vehemently oppose any consideration of US military withdrawal from Iraq.
In response to these dynamics, the Russian Foreign Ministry has expressed Moscow’s willingness to bolster Iraqi forces following the departure of unwanted foreign troops. The Russian offer has compounded the pressure on Washington, prompting a reassessment of the waning US strategic position in West Asia.

WILLIAM SCHRYVER—The heretofore reigning global hegemon designed to inflict upon Russia — its long-time nemesis — a decisive strategic defeat that would deliver the greatest spoil ever taken, and thereby consolidate its power base into the foreseeable future and beyond. The empire imagined Russia to be at its civilizational nadir: weak, vulnerable, and finally ripe for the picking.
Notwithstanding the now proverbial failures of the empires that preceded it, the current masters of the Anglo-American empire, in tandem with its European vassal states and a willing proxy force in Ukraine, believed “things are different this time”. They convinced themselves that the power differential between the latest iteration of western empire and its putative Russian adversary was so pronounced as to assure victory over “the gas station masquerading as a country”.

CAITLIN JOHNSTONE—It’s a horrific thing, burning alive. I suspect that pretty much everyone who’s ever self-immolated has had serious regrets about it within the first few seconds. There’s simply nothing one can do to prepare oneself for the experience of that kind of pain, or for how long it can take them to lose consciousness after it’s started. At that point the only comfort they could possibly offer themselves is that it can’t go on forever.
