Today’s conference was held at the dacha in Novo-Ogaryovo and would probably be 100% classified if not for the 20-minute portion dealing with aid rendered to civilians and further measures for their protection and wellbeing. The topic of our meeting is the situation in the Russian border areas: Bryansk region, Belgorod region, Kursk region.

An assessment of the current events should certainly be given, and this will be done. But the main thing now is to solve the actual problems that are emerging at this point in time and based on the forecasts of the situation.

The main task, of course, is for the Ministry of Defense: to squeeze out the enemy from our territories and – together with the Border Guard Service – to provide reliable cover for the state border.

The Federal Security Service together with Rosgvardiya should ensure a counter-terrorist situation regime and an effective fight against enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups. And Rosgvardiya faces its own combat tasks.

Civilian agencies are required to ensure that law enforcement agencies are supplied with everything they need. I won't list everything, but this certainly applies to industry, transport, construction, medicine and financial support.

Finally, all of us – together with the leaders of the respective regions – should focus on the main task. And this is the support of our people who need help and protection.

Before getting to work and giving the floor to the meeting participants, I will add a few more words.

It is now clear why the Kiev regime refused our proposals to return to the peace settlement plan, as well as to the proposals of interested and neutral mediators.

Apparently, the enemy is using its Western masters to fulfill their will, and the West is at war with us through the hands of the Ukrainians. So, apparently, the enemy is trying to improve its negotiating positions in the future. But what kind of negotiations can we even talk about with people who indiscriminately strike at civilians, civilian infrastructure, or try to create threats to nuclear power facilities? What can you even talk about with them?

Second. Such actions, of course, pursue the main military goal, namely, to stop the offensive of our troops to completely liberate the territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics and the territory of Novorossiya. So what? What is happening on the contact line, what are the results? The pace of offensive operations of the Russian Armed Forces, volunteers, and veterans has not only not decreased, but on the contrary, it has increased by one and a half times. Our Armed Forces are moving forward along the entire line of contact.

And finally, one of the obvious goals of the enemy is to sow discord and discord in our society, to intimidate people, to destroy the unity and cohesion of Russian society, that is, to strike at the internal political situation. But here, too, there is already a response from the citizens of Russia – it is the unanimous support of all those who are in trouble, the support of the army and, what is very important, an increase in the number of people who want to join our men, to the fighters who heroically defend Russia with weapons in their hands. The number of people willing to sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense has increased in recent days.

The leaders of the Kiev regime not only commit crimes against the Russian people, but, in fact, have embarked on the path of extermination of the Ukrainians themselves, the Ukrainian people, which, apparently, they no longer consider their own. The losses of the armed forces of Ukraine are dramatically increasing for them, including among the most combat-ready units and units that the enemy is transferring to our border.

The enemy will certainly receive a decent response, and all the goals we face will undoubtedly be achieved.

Let's get to work. At the beginning of our meeting, I would like to give the floor to the regional leaders.

Let's start with the Bryansk region. You are welcome.

A. : Hello, dear Vladimir Vladimirovich!

We can say that the situation in the Bryansk Region is stable today, the same as it was a month ago. We can see by the number of attacks that it is basically constant, that is, in the range of 80-90 attacks per week.

But I would like to note that recently we have seen them start firing more and more at civilians. If we take literally the previous day, the ninth: out of 22 attacks, 11 were on civilians, on the population that lives there, on homes, on cars, on buses.We compensate all the damage from the regional budget.

We don't move people out today. Our power unit analyzes the situation that is happening there, and we make a general decision that we do not need to move out yet. But we are also working with residents, so we always offer them to go to a temporary residence center if they are afraid, but no one wants to do it yet. Therefore, we have this work in place, and we have established cooperation with all law enforcement agencies.

As part of the counterterrorism operation, we have 1,576 temporary residence centers ready, and if necessary, we can deploy more than 32,000. But we have now reviewed, taking into account the experience of the Kursk region, all temporary residence points were moved to a distance of more than 50 kilometers.

Today, the tasks are set by the Ministry of Defense, Marat Shakirzyanovich Khusnullin is holding meetings with us, in principle, everything is ready, everything is mobilized, and we are starting to work. What problems there were – funding, lack of profiled flooring – they were all solved.

We have recently improved the situation only in the city of Belgorod, compared to the first quarter of 2024, there were only two rocket attacks on Belgorod with cluster munitions. In general, the situation on the border area has sharply worsened, and the number of attacks by both barrel artillery, mortars, MLRS, and attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles has increased significantly.

Sharply in 2024, the number of destructions and damage to housing in general is growing. We have damaged more than 30 thousand houses and apartments in 2.5 years, and now we have restored 25 thousand. But, unfortunately, the situation along the border does not allow us to actively do this. The most difficult situation is now in Shebekino, it is 38 thousand people-the city, 85 thousand-the district. In 2024, almost 300 people were injured and 36 people died. We have from three to five attacks a day, mainly from cannon artillery and MLRS, three to five houses are damaged, almost completely windows and roofs. There is no complete information, but according to our calculations, about 50-70 percent of the city of Shebekino has left the territory today, and social tension in Shebekino is growing, because the main thing is that we cannot guarantee security, provide it.

We place them in temporary accommodation points. In general, in 2022, we have 17 thousand places deployed. Currently, we have 2,100 people in the TAU (in the region), and 1,000 people outside the region. After today's events, we have moved about 10 thousand people in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, and temporary accommodation facilities have grown by another one and a half thousand.

According to your decision, Vladimir Vladimirovich, we have the opportunity, today there are 2,800 people outside the Belgorod region (we have a limit of 6,5 thousand people – those who are slightly injured, whose housing is damaged or completely destroyed). Thanks to your decision, 5,5 thousand children have left the country. In general, during the summer it is about 15 thousand people. We will continue this work. In general, in addition to Shebekino, these are Krasnaya Yaruga, Grayvoron, a third of the Belgorod district, Borisovsky district and Valuysky district.

We are very grateful for your decision, dear Mr Putin, to resettle 12,000 people in those localities that are now closed in fact. But in general, where there are daily attacks, we see the threat of the approaching winter and practically do not have the opportunity to call in rescue vehicles. Why? Because the enemy destroys it. We are not able to provide medical assistance, because the enemy destroys it. We are often unable, in many cases, to restore electricity supply, and we understand that when winter approaches, this will multiply the problem. In general, this situation is about 115 thousand people on the border.

I wanted to ask for solutions. Recently, a decision was made to increase payments for emergencies and terrorist attacks, and, unfortunately, realizing that this is a technical error, but still people are very worried, they believe that it is unfair. This did not affect payments for residents of the affected areas from the shelling by the armed forces of Ukraine. And I ask that these payments (this increase from 10 to 15, from 50 to 75, from 100 to 150) be transferred to the Belgorod region as well.

I would like to ask, if there is an opportunity, it is also a very big problem when housing is completely destroyed, a person still has obligations to pay the mortgage. Holidays are given only for six months by the bank, but after six months it is physically impossible to build a new house or apartment building. I think it would be fair to write off the mortgage with the subsequent provision of housing under the programs that are currently being implemented.

Today's situation in Krasnaya Yaruga, I hope that the interaction between all law enforcement agencies, first of all the Ministry of Defense and the border services will solve the current situation that arose in the morning, and tomorrow I hope that we will return people to their places of residence, with the exception of three settlements, first of all Kolotilovka, which has not yet been completed. it is inhabited, but it is actually under constant fire, and we will make a decision on its resettlement with the provision of housing. This possibility exists within the framework of previous decisions taken by the Government of the Russian Federation and your decision, Mr President.

Currently, the situation in the region is difficult, as of today, 28 settlements are under enemy control. The depth of penetration into the territory of the Kursk region is 12 kilometers, the width along the front is 40 kilometers.

Vladimir Putin: Listen, Alexey Borisovich, this is the military department that will tell us how wide and deep it is. You can tell us about the socio-economic situation and report on helping people.

Alexey Smirnov: We have 28 localities located in this zone, which is about two thousand people whose fate we do not know.

Colonel-General Yevgeny V. Nikiforov has arrived to coordinate our actions. Interaction has been established with all security forces.

During this time, as you instructed, Vladimir Vladimirovich, we have divided the resettlement of people into two stages. The first stage: in four districts – a 10-kilometer zone, and Sudzhansky, Korenevsky districts completely. There are 13 thousand daily meals, 260 thousand water and 148 thousand food packages on the way. There are no problems here. There is also a lot of additional humanitarian assistance from residents, there is no shortage.

On medicine. 1912 beds are available. In addition, a 100-bed FMBA hospital and a 100-bed hospital of the Russian Ministry of Health have been deployed. The number of ambulance crews is 108, 61 work in the border area, and sanaviation. The supply of medicines and blood is sufficient. We continue to draw blood if necessary, there are no problems. The number of doctors who arrived in the Kursk region is 422 people, 436 Kursk doctors work, and 840 – secondary medical personnel.

12 civilians were killed and 121 wounded, including 10 children. A call center works around the clock, and all our possible points of receiving information are written, the administration has reception offices, during this time 35 thousand citizens ' appeals were received. We make payments of 10 thousand rubles each, we have received funds, and as of today, these funds have been received by 2,100 citizens, although 46,700 applications have been submitted. We worked with the Ministry of Digital Resources, and from this morning we will be able to automatically transfer a thousand applications per hour, so we are closing this problem.

Funds have been received to relocate people from the shelled border area to 300 families, 131 applications have been processed, people are selecting housing, certificates have been issued, and work continues. A decision was made – thank you very much – on a moratorium on payment for housing and communal services and interest on loans. Emergency crews have been created, all services are working, and we are also working with damage to industrial enterprises and agricultural producers. Just now, a team was sent out in the morning. The first time the Rosseti brigade failed to restore electricity supply in the Belovsky district the day before yesterday, it came under fire, and the shells were loaded with chemical weapons. They took refuge in the police department, everyone is alive, but both the police officers and the head of the village council were poisoned. But today it turned out, the transformer was repaired with the support of Rosgvardiya, and the head of IDGC of Center personally went there. Half of the district is powered by electricity, as well as a pig farm.

Currently, the Ministry of Defense has started fulfilling the task of building 90 platoon strongpoints, which involves 350 units of equipment and involves up to 5 thousand builders. We are in constant cooperation with the First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, Marat Khusnullin, the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Transport.

Of course, there is a danger that sabotage groups are operating here in our clothes, in our cars, with our documents, so we are increasing our patrols. Moscow helped, and 1,000 people came to us from the state-owned Moscow enterprise. The aim to foment political unrest and demand for the SMO to cease has failed, yet the effort outed one of the sleeping enemies within Russia. The following short essay by Marat Khairullen was posted to his VK and his Telegram yesterday and tells quite a tale that few readers here will be aware of. Oleg Deripaska is the person being investigated, his name is linked to his Wiki bio, which notes he’s been sanctioned by the Outlaw USW Empire and its UK dog, so he can’t fully enjoy the Cypriot citizenship he bought. His desire to have the sanctions dropped are clearly a motive for his actions, but how closely was he involved with the Ukies is a pertinent question. Now for Marat’s report:

Deripaska and emptiness

Against the backdrop of the terrorist attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region, entrepreneur Oleg Deripaska called for a ceasefire. Thanks to Khasavyurt, our country had to live side by side with a terrorist entity for more than five years. I will remind you what it has been over the years: kidnappings, constant terrorist attacks, the transit of everything prohibited to our territory - from weapons to drugs.
But it was the Chechen people who suffered the most, and for many years they became hostages of outright bandits who turned the republic into a hotbed of international terrorism and crime.
If you compare it with today, the analogy with ukropia is complete - democratic and independent Ichkeria number two, a stinking cancerous tumor on our border, only on a larger scale. This is another victim of the cursed Western friendship.
However, in addition to the external similarity, there is also an internal track. And it is as follows: the agreements were concluded by General Lebed, a direct creature of the oligarch Berezovsky.

In those years, Berezovsky was the headliner of the so-called Yeltsin family - he openly represented its political and financial interests. Today, it is no longer a secret that all the most crazy Russian opposition, from Kasyanov and Kasparov to Navalny, was grown under the umbrella of the Family. Since 2012, the Family has been openly trying to replace Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin with any other politician who can be directly manipulated. And the external forces interested in this act in the domestic political field of Russia precisely through the Family.

Why. Because there is a legend, confirmed by reality, that at one time Putin gave his word to Yeltsin that he would not persecute the Family - first of all, Naina Iosifovna and daughter Tatiana.
And now the super-respectable VVP keeps its word, despite outright sabotage.

Another thing is that today in Russia the situation is completely different.

Let me remind you that the Chechen war was terribly unpopular among the people - any termination of it (on any terms) by the Russian people, immersed in the despair of the 90s, was considered as a respite - at least one problem less, at least for a while.

Today, for example, people who are inside the front know very well that a whole generation of young officers has come to the troops. They are from thirty-five and above, and they are already combat colonels and generals - they are smart, evil, they managed to go through defeats and won difficult current victories with their blood, losing friends and relatives in this crucible.
They sincerely hate the drill and everything behind them, and they are sure that they have the right to vote. And their voice is as follows - the war must finally become a people's war, so as not to crush the enemy by a teaspoon at an hour. Now they are commanders of regiments and brigades, and tomorrow the commanders of armies and fronts, the future Zhukovs and Vatutins, are still very young, magnificent and brilliant.

This is not the subtle Yashin, who was mated with Sobchak to get rid of the blue sins of youth, but it did not help - the sins won.

Having pushed Khasavyurt through the loyal and trampled officers of the 90s, the Family thinks that they can push these heroes over the baseboard. But it is no coincidence that Putin relies on them, opening the doors of all elevators - this is insurance against the treacherous actions of this very counter-elite, ready to sell the interests of the country when victory is just around the corner.
In this regard, Deripaska's call hung in the void - the people see victory, thirst for it, and to stop hostilities now is the same as signing a political sentence for oneself.
In this regard, Putin is more of a deterrent, because in addition to the military elite, let me remind you, there is a very influential group of industrialists (especially those related to the production of weapons and the public sector as a whole).
They are very uninterested in a world that will be interpreted inside and outside Russia as a direct defeat. They are interested in a world that looks and feels like a victory. Putin, as a system of power, relied on them in this difficult period, and, accordingly, Russian industrial capital expects to receive good bonuses from this.
Moreover, here it is - Victory - is already very close. And if an immediate peace is concluded on the advice of Oleg Deripaska, then all these bonuses will again go to European and American financial capital.
And therefore, when Oleg Vladimirovich begins to speak in this way, questions immediately arise: is Russian aluminum really Russian, or is it just called that?
Maybe it is still worth bringing its content in line with the official name. So, just in case, to deprive the counter-elite of potential resources, ready to give the Victory, already won with the considerable blood of our people, to the cursed West?! [My Emphasis]

Pretty powerful invective. The linked article from Novaya Gazeta Europe dealing with the speech is actually a retelling of an interview given with Nikkei Asia that itself is also edited and not reported in whole. Why didn’t they allow all his words to be known? One of the interesting snippets is this admission:

When asked about his current relationship with the Kremlin, Deripaska, who has long been rumoured to be close to Vladimir Putin, said that there had been “no changes”, adding simply: “They don’t touch me, and we don’t touch politics.”

Except that he just did deeply touch politics, so he just lied. Here’s the lie:

“If you want to stop the war, first you need to stop the fire,” Deripaska told Japan’s flagship financial newspaper, calling for an “immediate, unconditional ceasefire" in Ukraine.

And so the snake reveals itself. My cursory search to see how widely Russian media reported his speech got very few returns, the one provided being the most complete. An example of his being anti-Russian political-economic policy and the lies he employs to sell his point can be read in this article in English from 2023 by Politnavigator, where he whines Russia won’t see any foreign investment and is called Russia’s version of Donald Trump. Will this be the last time we hear about Deripaska and his antics? Probably not since he’s sanctioned and can no longer spend his ill-gotten loot in the West. But now that he’s entered the political realm, perhaps Putin will joust with him once the situation normalizes, whenever that happens.

“Anything Could Go Wrong”. Russia’s Drills to Practice the Deployment of Tactical Nuclear Weapons. In Response to the Deployment of Nuclear Capable F-16s.

On the very last day of July, the Russian military announced it started “the third and ‘final’ phase of drills to practice the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons”. The Kremlin’s Ministry of Defense (MoD) also initiated joint exercises with Belarus, its closest ally. To some, it may seem strange that Minsk is participating in such activities, but it should be noted that Belarus joined Russia’s nuclear weapons-sharing program back in March last year, resulting in the redeployment of Russian thermonuclear weapons in response to NATO’s perpetually escalating belligerence. At the time, Minsk issued a formal request to Moscow, asking for top security guarantees in case the world’s most aggressive racketeering cartel got any “funny ideas”. Now, both countries are capitalizing on this close partnership, with the Belarussian military even operating the unrivaled “Iskander-M” ground-based hypersonic missile systems.

Precisely such weapons will be the primary carriers of tactical nuclear warheads in the country’s armed forces, giving Minsk unprecedented operational deterrence capabilities in Europe. The decision for such a move came after Poland and the United States kept floating the idea of transferring some of American nuclear weapons to Poland. Thus, the Russian military already provided Belarus with the necessary upgrades to be able to deliver tactical nuclear warheads. At least 10 Belarussian Air Force jets have been assigned and equipped to carry such weapons, although neither side specified what type of aircraft received the said upgrades. Minsk operates several types of nuclear-capable fighter jets, including the recently acquired Su-30SM and the Soviet-era MiG-29, in addition to the ground-based assets such as the aforementioned “Iskander” systems capable of launching nuclear-tipped hypersonic missiles.

What’s more, Belarus still maintains a number of Soviet-era nuclear-capable assets, including a substantial arsenal of “Tochka-U” tactical ballistic missiles. These could serve as a secondary delivery option given their shorter range and inferior accuracy when compared to the “Iskander” which boasts a 500 km range, high precision, extreme maneuverability at every stage of flight, as well as a hypersonic speed of up to Mach 8.7. This makes the “Iskander” virtually impossible to intercept, as evidenced by its performance during the special military operation (SMO). It gives Minsk a significant asymmetric advantage over NATO occupation forces in Eastern Europe. In addition, Belarus is home to a growing arsenal of state-of-the-art Russian military units and equipment, including strategic assets such as the S-400 SAM (surface-to-air missile) systems, as well as Russian “Iskander” units.

Russia Deploys Tactical Nuclear Weapons in Belarus: Escalation or Deterrence?

Other top-of-the-line weapons that the Kremlin deploys in the country are the Su-35S air superiority fighter jets and superfast, high-flying MiG-31 interceptors/strike fighters, including the K/I variants capable of deploying the now legendary 9-S-7760 “Kinzhal” hypersonic missiles, which are also nuclear-capable. All this suggests that the interoperability of the Russian and Belarussian militaries is on such a high level that they can effectively act as a unified fighting force. In recent months, this was also demonstrated in practice, with the second stage of Moscow’s joint nuclear drills with Minsk taking place already in June. However, the timing of the ongoing third stage is quite peculiar, as it “coincides” with the first reports about the pompously announced F-16s finally reaching Ukraine. Citing unverified footage, many sources are reporting that the US-made jet is already flying over parts of Western Ukraine.

Bloomberg was the first outlet to report on this. Apparently, this was done to prevent further embarrassing delays, although anonymous sources claim that “only a small number of jets arrived in this first transfer”. According to various reports in the last two years, the Kiev regime is supposed to get around 80 F-16s from the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, and Norway, with the first two countries operating nuclear-capable jets, as they participate in NATO nuclear sharing programs. This has been of particular concern for Russia, with its top-ranking officials warning that any possible deliveries of nuclear weapons with those F-16s will effectively be considered a declaration of war by NATO. Unfortunately, it seems the political West hasn’t taken this seriously in the slightest.

Namely, preliminary reports suggest that precisely these nuclear-capable Dutch F-16s were the first to arrive, further strengthening Moscow’s hypothesis that these could possibly be used as a crawling strategy to give the Neo-Nazi junta nuclear weapons, as NATO thinks that’s the only way to prevent the total defeat of its favorite puppet regime. However, apart from this being a great way to start WW3, what’s even worse, there are plans to station these US-made jets in airbases outside of Ukraine and then fly them from there to attack Russian forces. The Kiev regime possibly thinks that Moscow won’t dare to attack NATO airbases housing these F-16s. However, the Kremlin has repeatedly warned that any such airbases will immediately be considered legitimate targets for the Russian military. Thus, this is yet another “perfect” way to start WW3, resulting in the destruction of the globe.

In other words, there are so many ways in which all this could go wrong that anyone remotely familiar with the current geopolitical situation has stopped counting long ago. Russian nuclear exercises make a lot more sense if we assume that Moscow’s position is that these F-16s are being transferred as carriers of nuclear weapons. This is also reinforced by the fact that these US-made jets are heavily outclassed by Russia’s top-notch fighters, in virtually every category. In other words, employing them in a purely conventional military role simply doesn’t make sense, as they won’t make any difference. Another somewhat less gloomy possibility is that the political West could try to use these nuclear-capable F-16s as a bargaining chip in a potential new “peace summit” that Russia could be invited to. As NATO and the Neo-Nazi junta are becoming increasingly desperate, anything can be expected.

Why Russia Will Defeat NATO in Ukraine

NATO’s three-day summit in Washington DC achieved the objective for which it was designed, to create a public forum in which all 32 members of the Alliance could express their unanimous support for upcoming attacks on the Russian Federation. That was the real purpose of the confab. The managers of the event, sought a dramatic display of unity to justify future hostilities with Moscow and to reduce the possibility that any one person would be held responsible for starting World War 3.

The summit was followed by the release of a formal Declaration which strongly suggests that the decision to go war has already been made. As many people know, NATO has green-lighted a policy that allows the firing of missiles at targets inside Russian territory. This policy will also apply to the numerous NATO F-16s that will be deployed to Ukraine sometime in the near future. (F-16s can carry nuclear missiles) Despite overwhelming support for these policies among the members, we must not forget that these are blatant acts of aggression that are forbidden under international law. No amount of public relations hoopla can conceal the fact that NATO is on-track to commit the “supreme crime”.

It’s worth noting, that NATO intends to take a more active role in the conduct of the war. According to National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, the Alliance plans to formally establish a NATO office inside Ukraine that will be used to oversee military operations. In short, the managers of the conflict no longer have any interest in concealing their involvement. This is now a NATO operation. Here’s an excerpt from an article at the World Socialist Web Site:

This NATO office will accompany the creation of a NATO command to oversee the war in Ukraine, transitioning the provision of weapons and logistical oversight from an ad hoc group led by the United States to the NATO alliance itself.

Sullivan’s remarks outlined the main agenda items of the three-day summit in Washington, which is expected to signal a major escalation of the conflict with Russia in Ukraine and plans to significantly increase NATO’s capabilities to fight a full-scale war throughout Europe….

He said the summit will also announce “a new NATO military command in Germany led by a three-star general that will launch a training, equipping, and force development program for Ukrainian troops….”

The creation of a NATO office in Kiev and the reorganization of weapons provision, training and military logistics under a direct NATO command marks the end of any pretense that the conflict in Ukraine is not a war between NATO and Russia. It marks a dangerous new phase in the war, raising the prospect of a major escalation. Washington summit will announce plans to set up NATO office inside Ukraine, WSWS

Add all of this to the fact that the Summit Declaration posits that Ukraine is now on an “irreversible” path to NATO membership, and it becomes clear that every effort is being made to provoke Moscow.

Not surprisingly, Russia was thoroughly demonized in the Declaration which follows the familiar pattern we have seen with other enemies of Washington including Saddam, Qaddafi and Assad. Here’s a brief summary of “evil” Russia directly from the text:

Russia remains the most significant and direct threat to Allies’ security…
Russia bears sole responsibility for its war of aggression against Ukraine, a blatant violation of international law, including the UN Charter.
There can be no impunity for Russian forces’ and officials’ abuses and violations of human rights, war crimes, and other violations of international law.
Russia is responsible for the deaths of thousands of civilians and has caused extensive damage to civilian infrastructure.
We condemn in the strongest possible terms Russia’s horrific attacks on the Ukrainian people, including on hospitals, on 8 July…
We are determined to constrain and contest Russia’s aggressive actions and to counter its ability to conduct destabilizing activities towards NATO and Allies… Washington Summit Declaration, NATO

Washington’s ferocious repudiation of Russia leaves no doubt as to where all this is heading. It’s headed for war.

The authors of this declaration were reiterating the views of the billionaire elites who are determined to roll-back Russia’s battlefield gains, topple the political leaders in Moscow, and splinter the country into smaller, more-manageable statlets. Russia represents the most formidable obstacle to Washington’s overall geopolitical strategy of projecting power into Asia, encircling China, and establishing itself as the preeminent power in the world’s most prosperous region. These strategic objectives are invariably omitted in the media’s coverage, but they are the underlying factors that shape events. Here’s Biden:

And we know Putin won’t stop at Ukraine. But make no mistake, Ukraine can and will stop Putin — (applause) — especially with our full, collective support. And they have our full support. “Ukraine can and will stop Putin.” The White House

The truth is that the war was triggered by NATO enlargement, an inconvenient fact that NATO chairman Jens Stoltenberg has admitted on numerous occasions. Some readers might also recall that—during the peace negotiations between Kiev and Moscow in April 2022—Russia’s primary demand was that Ukraine reject NATO membership and declare permanent neutrality. Zelensky agreed to those terms which, in effect, prove that Putin’s action was linked to NATO expansion. There is virtually no proof that Putin wants to conquer Europe. None. Putin simply wants Ukraine to honor its treaty obligations regarding neutrality. Check out this excerpt by Ted Snider at Antiwar.com:

Ukraine.. promised to stay out of NATO. Its non-alignment was enshrined in the foundational documents of the independent state of Ukraine.

Article IX of the 1990 Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine states that Ukraine “solemnly declares its intention of becoming a permanently neutral state that does not participate in military blocs.” That promise was repeated in Ukraine’s 1996 Constitution, which committed Ukraine to neutrality and prohibited it from joining any military alliance. But in 2019, President Petro Poroshenko amended the Ukrainian Constitution, committing Ukraine to the “strategic course” of NATO and EU membership.

The issue, of course, could have been resolved long ago if Washington had acted in good faith, but Washington has not acted in good faith. In fact, Washington is still determined to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia in order to implement its “pivot to Asia” strategy to ensure its future as the world’s only unchallenged superpower. These goals cannot be achieved without escalation, confrontation and a full-blown war. The NATO summit is merely a prelude to a broader and more violent conflict between the nuclear superpowers.

The question we should be asking ourselves is whether NATO can actually win a war with Russia. Can it?

The answer is “No”, it cannot.

Why?

Here’s how military analyst Will Schryver answers that question:

I have done my research — for years, dating back long before 2022…. I repeatedly warned that it (Ukraine) was a war the US/NATO could never win….There is a VAST difference between the “on paper” strength of NATO (including the US) and their actual war-fighting capability. The US could not assemble, equip, field, and sustain even 250k combat effectives in eastern Europe, and any attempt to do so would necessitate the evacuation of every major US base on the planet. The US/NATO not only could not win a war against Russia, but they would be eviscerated in the attempt.

Alerted by the US/NATO destruction of Yugoslavia, Iraq, and Libya, the Russians have spent the past 25 years — and particularly the past two years — engaged in a massive and exceedingly impressive military build up and modernization in preparation for an eventual war against the US/NATO. In the past 2+ years, t hey have methodically destroyed Ukraine’s three successive proxy armies with one arm tied behind their back. Their force generation, combat training, and military industrial production far exceed the entire NATO bloc combined. I appreciate the degree to which military analytical tourists like yourself have been thoroughly propagandized by Hollywood fantasies and the western state-controlled media, but wars are not fought and won by imaginary narratives and flashy superheroes. They are won by raw firepower — a metric by which the tripartite alliance of Russia, China, and Iran now possess supremacy over their hubris-drunken enemies in the rapidly eroding American Empire. There is only one sane option at this point: relinquish empire and make peace with the resurgent civilizational powers of the earth. There’s also the niggling issue of “magazine depth” which refers to the stockpiles of weaponry and munitions required to outlast and eventually defeat the enemy. Here’s Schryver again:

There is no doubt Israel (just like its great benefactor, the United States) is, in the context of a “big war”, capable of executing several damaging strikes against a potential peer or near-peer adversary. But, throughout the imperial domain, there are fatal weaknesses that exist right now, and which cannot be turned into strengths at any point in the near- or medium-term. The first is what military types call “magazine depth”: munitions stockpiles sufficient to offensively overwhelm, defensively defeat, and strategically outlast the enemy. Neither the United States, nor any of its largely impotent client nations, possess “magazine depth” sufficient to prosecute anything more than a relatively brief campaign against their potential peer adversaries: Russia, China, Iran — and all or any of their lesser-power partners. What Schryver is saying is as profound as it is alarming. The United States and NATO will not prevail in a war with Russia because they do not have the industrial capacity, the force generation, the combat training, the magazine depth or the overall firepower of Russia. By every metric, they are the inferior fighting force. Additionally, Russia has already killed or captured hundreds of thousands of the “the best-trained and best-equipped soldiers in the Ukrainian army”. That army has already been effectively annihilated. The troops in the trenches today are poorly trained, unskilled, low-morale rookies who are being slaughtered by the thousands. Does anyone seriously believe that NATO involvement can turn this train around and secure a victory? Here’s more from Schryver:

The Russians have demonstrated that they can routinely shoot down ANY species of strike missile the US/NATO can field against them — not all of them all of the time, but most of them most of the time. And they get better and better at it as time goes on.

Indeed, over the past few months it is increasingly becoming “all of them most of the time”…. As Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported earlier this week:

“We are using air defence systems in a comprehensive manner during the special military operation. This significantly improved their responsiveness and strike range. Over the last six months, we have shot down 1,062 of NATO’s HIMARS rockets, short-range and cruise missiles, and guided bombs.”

No other military on the planet has previously attested this level of capability. The US does not have it, and is at least a decade away from developing it….

The current front-line inventory of US tactical ballistic missiles and sea- and air-launched cruise missiles would present no greater technical challenge for Russian air defenses than what they have already seen and defeated in the Ukraine War. Some readers may find it hard to believe that NATO would rush into a war without thoroughly researching its prospects for success. But that is precisely what’s happening here. Blustery Uncle Sam foolishly believes that he will win as soon as he “throws its hat in the ring. He can’t accept that the scales are tipped in Russia’s favor and that his entry into the war will be met with a thunderous response. But that is the reality he faces. Here’s Schryver one last time:

NATO would face enormous problems of coordination, doctrine and force generation, even if it could agree an objective. Its troops are not trained for this kind of war and have never operated together…..

(they) would be hard-pressed to field a force more powerful than the reported nine Brigades trained and equipped by the West for the Great Offensive of 2023, which just bounced off the Russian forces without achieving anything of note….

The US has no ground combat units in Europe remotely suited to high-intensity land warfare…. Given enough time, money, political will and organization, most things are possible. But there is no chance… of NATO assembling a force which would constitute anything more than a nuisance to the Russians, while putting many lives in danger…… NATO’s Phantom Armies, Will Schryver, Substack

I am convinced that there is a delusional element within the foreign policy establishment that have convinced themselves that NATO will defeat Russia if they face each other on a battlefield in Ukraine. Schryver’s analysis helps to show why that’s not going to happen.

DIRTY, DARK SECRETS OF D-DAY

Today marks the 80^th anniversary of the Allied D-Day Landing in France.

I’m sure not going to make any friends among the French side of my family, by writing this post. They have roots in Normandy and have been coming to Arromanches-les-Bains for summer vacations for four generations.

I live is this small village where Allied troops arrived on D-Day, June 6^th, 1944, with their celebrated floating port, that was shipped over from England and built on site, to bring in all the materiel needed for the invasion. The family house we live in was billeted as the Allied post office and we can see the landing beach from it. On the paternal side, the other house here, since it looks right out over the water, where the port was built was badly damaged and burned. Needless to say, my attachment to D-Day is above average.

The landing was a daring, brilliant operation, getting high marks as a feat of engineering, while thousands of US, British and Canadian soldiers died during and after the invasion.

Today there will be lots of celebrations. Thousands of people, including global leaders and dignitaries come.

So far, so good. Be that as it may, Russian President Vladimir Putin has been snubbed for years, as has Chinese President Xi Jinping. Russia always invites Western leaders to attend Victory Day in Moscow, every May 9^th. Since 2015, V-Day in China is honored on September 3^rd and all Western leaders are invited (http://chinarising.puntopress.com/2015/09/04/from-may-9th-in-moscow-to-september-3rd-in-beijing-the-anti-west-order-comes-full-circle-moscow-beijing-express-on-the-saker-44-days-radio-sinoland/). Nevertheless, Eurangloland leaders continue to refuse to participate in these events, which is a sad statement indeed, about the arrogance and racism of empire. To do so would be to admit the truth: Allied forces did not liberate Europe and Asia from global fascism. The Soviet Union (Russia) and China did.

Yes, thousands of Allied soldiers died during World War II and with them, a total of 966,000 military and civilian people in the two theaters, east and west, were lost among the Five Eyes allied countries: the US, Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (https://www.nationalww2museum.org/students-teachers/student-resources/research-starters/research-starters-worldwide-deaths-world-war). At the same time, Russia and China each lost no fewer than 25,000,000 citizens, a total of 50 million, with credible research showing they each lost closer to 35 million compatriots, or 70 million total. Even at the lower figure, Russia and China lost 50 times more people than the allied countries together. Put another way, the Allies lost 2% as many people as Russia and China combined.

More statistics reveal hard truths that totally demythify relentless, Western Big Lie Propaganda Machine (BLPM) brainwash. In June 1944, when the Allies landed outside my window, Germany had 287 divisions of troops, with seven in Germany, 150 on the Eastern Front and 66 on the Western (French) Front. You can do the math. This means that the D-Day landing was doing battle against only 23 percent of the Wehrmacht’s forces (https://www.axishistory.com/axis-nations/134-campaigns-a-operations/campaigns-a-operations/2085-number-of-german-divisions-by-front-in-world-war-ii). This, while the Soviet Red Army was grinding Nazis into dog food, on its relentless drive towards Berlin, losing millions of its own in the process.

It’s the same story in the Pacific, about which I wrote in The China Trilogy (https://chinarising.puntopress.com/2018/06/30/praise-for-the-china-trilogy-the-votes-are-in-it-r-o-c-k-s-what-are-you-waiting-for/). Mao Zedong and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) were fighting three enemies simultaneously: fascist Japan, fascist Chiang Kai-Shek’s Guomindang (GMD, oftentimes noted as KMT) and imperialist United States. Western propaganda likes to censor the fact that the US gave GMD billions of dollars in weapons, materiel and training, with 100,000 red-white-and-blue military personnel fighting side-by-side with them, along with many remaining Japanese troops, trying to exterminate the unstoppable Chinese Communist revolution.

Allied forces did not liberate Europe and Asia from global fascism. The Soviet Union (Russia) and China did.

Before Japan’s surrender on September 3^rd, 1945 to China, the United States in the Pacific theater was fighting only 18% of the Japanese Imperial Army. The other 82% were bogged down in China and Japan, thanks to Mao Zedong, the PLA (People’s Liberation Army), millions of revolutionary citizen martyrs, whose heroic efforts freed their nation from foreign terrorism and the West’s illegal drug cartel (opium, morphine and heroin) that was destroying the Chinese people.

The Allies had a hell of time fighting against only 23% of Germany’s might in France and the US had its hands full fighting 18% of Japan’s forces. Let’s be honest, if it weren’t for the Russians and Chinese killing the vast majority of fascist Axis troops, and dying themselves by the tens of millions to reach victory, it’s highly unlikely the Allies would have gotten very far against a bigger force in the two theaters. In both cases, the Allies got into World War II when Russian and Chinese victories were already a foreseen conclusion.

What we can say is that the Allies helped prevent the Soviets from invading Japan, which they were preparing to do, and they stopped the Red Army in Germany, instead them being able to finish off the Nazi Wehrmacht in France. The Allies can take credit for reducing Stalin’s negotiating chips by five countries, France, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg and Lichtenstein, but that’s about it. Germany and Japan would have still lost against the Russians and Chinese, without any Allied participation. These sobering truths are vehemently refuted and censored behind the Great Western Firewall, with two generations of BLPM psychological warfare, ongoing, but are undeniable.

Truman’s atomic bombs that incinerated two cities’ worth of civilians, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, were not the reason the Japanese emperor surrendered to the United States on August 14^th, 1945.

First, as background, General Curtis LeMay was transferred from Europe to China in the fall of 1944. He was not satisfied with the destructiveness of classic (saturation) bombing missions with traditional aerial bombs being used in China and Japan. Harvard University had just developed their M69 incendiary bomb, with a war crime concoction of phosphorous and napalm. LeMay’s psychopathy and Yankee racism, with being able to quickly kill lots of “Yellow niggers” on a grand scale (https://chinarising.puntopress.com/2018/01/06/slavs-and-the-yellow-peril-are-niggers-brutes-and-beasts-in-the-eyes-of-western-empire-china-rising-radio-sinoland/), aligned for American genocide in China and Japan. Wuhan, a mighty industrial center on the Yangtze River, and in Mao Zedong’s home province, was a hotbed of communist activity, as well as being used by the Japanese as a logistics base. Red Chinks and Yellow Nips was a two-fer trophy for LeMay and the US Air Force. Double the fun.

On December 18^th, 1944, 94 US B-29 Fortress Super Bombers were loaded full, with 500 tons of Harvard’s genocidal M69 bombs. In a matter of a few hours, 40,000 innocent Wuhan citizens were incinerated, along with their neighborhoods (www.chinaww2.com/2015/09/12/the-us-firebombing-of-wuhan-part-1/).

Not stopping there, the USA continued to mass bomb Taiwan, China, which was isolated and a threat to no one.

On March 1^st, 1945, Tainan, Taiwan, one of the island’s largest and oldest cities, 44 B-24 Liberators dropped 387 incineration 500-pound bombs across residential areas. March 12-13, 1945, another 84 1,000-pounders were unleashed on the citizens below. On March 20^th, 1945, 34 B-24s finished off the civilian city of Tainan with 260-pound fragmentation bombs, 100-pound napalm bombs and 100-pound incineration bombs, burning untold thousands of innocents.

USA genocide in China continued in Taipei, Taiwan, where only civilian targets were left. On May 31^st, 1945, 117 B-24s dropped 3,800 bombs in the heart of the city, in only three hours. Officially, 3,000 were killed, which was likely a gross underestimate, and the wounded weren’t even counted, since the US-supported GMD fled to the island after losing to the communist PLA.

The USA’s senseless, genocidal bombing slaughter in China was and is completely censored by the BLPM and expunged from the history books.

Having shown its effectiveness in exterminating tens of thousands of civilians, as well as incinerating their homes in a matter of hours, it was time for the USA to begin its campaign of genocide in Japan. Kobe was the first city to be scorched off the face of Japan’s map, in February, 1945 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M69_incendiary). American genocidists had the blood lust, racist-filled time of their lives, continuing to incinerate 67 Japanese cities by fire bombing. Millions of women, children and elderly were torched to death, while causing many more millions to be homeless and dying of starvation. With Japan becoming a weak US, postwar vassal, these numbers are heavily officially underestimated.

Still, the emperor did not call it quits. This, while the United States repeatedly refused Japan’s requests to negotiate a surrender. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were simply cities number 68 and 69 to be pulverized into non-existence, along with 200,000 innocents turned to dust. Déjà vu. Tokyo lost 100,000 on March 9^th, as many as each of these two A-bombed cities, and millions more were slaughtered in between. The fact that the Japanese knew the two A-bombs were different than the 2,000,000 high-explosive and 5,000,000 incendiary bombs that had already destroyed the country was of no consequence to them (https://www.answers.com/Q/How_many_bombs_were_dropped_in_Japan_during_World_War_2).

Losing two more cities on top of the 67 already disappeared was not why he surrendered. What caused the emperor to capitulate was that the Soviet Red Army had just wiped out Japan’s best army, the one in Manchuria, in Northern China. The Russians annihilated 80,000 of Japan’s finest in just ten days, and were heading for the Yellow Sea coast to launch an invasion of Japan. The thought of 100,000 Red Army troops (he was anti-communist and racist against the “Slavic hoard”) swarming over what was left of Japan was why the emperor surrendered, not because the US torched two more cities to the ground, on top of the previous 67. This is another statement of fact that is continually denied by the West’s BLPM.

Nor are these some pro-commie ravings. Even uber-establishment Foreign Policy magazine admitted the same thing (https://foreignpolicy.com/2013/05/30/the-bomb-didnt-beat-japan-stalin-did/).

Back here in France, there is another dirty, dark secret about D-Day, and that is the Allies gratuitously massacred tens of thousands of French citizens in Normandy, leading up to and after June 6^th, 1944. The United States and Britain committed war crimes, by needlessly bombing many cities in Normandy and beyond in France, when they knew that they were not killing German troops, nor destroying their materiel.

These genocidal D-Day bombings caused the unnecessary death of 50,000 French citizens, war crimes all. American soldiers also found the time to rape 3,620 French girls and women during and after the invasion. Yank troops also raped 2,420 English lassies behind the lines, and 11,040 German ladies on the front. Given that only one out of ten rapes is ever reported, this shocking truth was undoubted grossly underreported (https://wais.stanford.edu/ztopics/week020105/france_050201_civilianskilledinwwII.htm), as it was in Japan, Korea, Vietnam and everywhere US soldiers are stationed.

All in all, the Allies bombed over 1,500 cities in France, most of them at least 75% leveled. Along with the 50,000 aforementioned massacred, 100,000 French were injured, and millions were left homeless and starving, having lost 420,000 homes, with another 890,000 partially destroyed. Let those numbers sink into your grey matter for a while. The occupying Germans killed around 30,000 Frenchmen, making them look like honorable saints, compared to the bloodthirsty Allies.

Italy was also gratuitously wiped out by Allied bombs. In fact, over one-third of all Allied bombs in Europe were dropped on France and Italy, with 60,000 Italians also exterminated (https://impact.ref.ac.uk/casestudies/CaseStudy.aspx?Id=36238).

Why, except to weaken two large non-Anglo-Saxon “allies” and make them totally dependent on the USA and Britain, postwar? Spain and Portugal were already loyal fascist dictatorships in service to Western global capitalism, so along with Germany destroyed, the economic, industrial and agricultural heartland of Europe was devastated by all this genocide and infrastructure destruction.

Having come to Arromanches many times since 1988 (and living here for five years in the late 90s), I can attest that the French are in complete denial about the Allied genocide. It is telling that the English version of Wikipedia lists 50,000 killed, whereas the same page in French records only 20,000 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombing_of_Normandy and https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombardement_de_la_Normandie). A humiliating and shameful reality that the French cannot face, it was finally publicly acknowledged by a leading official, President François Hollande, in 2014, for the 70^th D-Day landing anniversary, right here in little Arromanches-les-Bains (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-27703724). That year, Russian President Vladimir Putin was allowed to come participate (the last time since and Xi Jinping never invited). Knowing the true facts about World War II and who really won the war and Putin standing nearby, maybe Hollande made it official out of a guilty conscious.

The West developed its bloodlust for massacring millions from the air during World War II. Germany killed 20,000 Brits by aerial bombing. Allies bombed more than 1,000 German cities, just like they did all across France, Italy and Japan, targeting above all else many millions of innocent civilian women, children and elderly and destroying thousands of cultural and religious heritage sites (http://www.revisionist.net/bombing-germany.html and https://ww2db.com/battle_spec.php?battle_id=55). It was even official policy, as told to the bomber pilots,

Having whet their appetite for aerial genocide in World War II, the West went on to even greater crimes against humanity, obliterating millions more in Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Serbia, with many more and now, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen and elsewhere (https://williamblum.org/chapters/rogue-state/united-states-bombings-of-other-countries and https://wikispooks.com/wiki/US/Bombing_campaigns_since_1945). The list is long. This does not even include hundreds of lethal civilian drone strikes, happening day after day.

No, it was not German and Japanese fascists who invented it, in spite of all the BLPM brainwash. Western total war (burn all, steal all, kill all – and we can add rape all) has been perfected since biblical times, where it is sanctioned and glorified in the Old Testament/Torah, and with advances in technology over the ages, is blood splattered across Eurangloland’s history books and daily headlines. Nobody does it better, with Anglo-Americans and Zionists being the champions.
