ERIC ZUESSE—Yet again, the Chinese tennis star Peng Shuai has said, in public, “I need to stress one point that is extremely important, I have never said or written that anyone has sexually assaulted me, I have to clearly stress this point.” And, yet again, the lying Western ‘news’-media — which had previously reported lies that Saddam Hussein was six months from having a nuclear bomb, and famously lied also about so much else, concerning Libya, Ukraine, Syria, and many other nations — are reporting, instead, their unauthenticated allegations to the contrary, and are challenging (without evidence) the truthfulness of Peng’s statements about this matter.

Why Russia vetoed at the U.N. the U.S.-proposed inclusion of climate-change as a ‘National Security’ issue
17 minutes readERIC ZUESSE—he United States Government wants to persuade the gullible global public that it actually takes seriously the global-warming threat. The only way actually to stop global warming — if it still can be stopped — is to outlaw, even if in only one major country (such as the U.S.), purchases of stocks and bonds in fossil-fuels-extraction companies, such as ExxonMobil, but the U.S. Government isn’t doing that; and, so, obviously, it has no real intention to prevent global burnout. Instead, it has proposed many measures, for PR purposes, in order to advance its real objectives. The latest such measure is one that is actually aimed at expanding yet further its global empire of ‘allied’ (or vassal) countries, so as ultimately to take control over the entire world, as being its empire — the very first all-encompassing global empire, such as Nazi Germany was trying (but failed) to establish.

Assessing the outcome of the Biden Putin summit
23 minutes readTHE SAKER—Sadly, I don’t see the Biden White House capable of riding out the hysterics of the War Party, if only because the War Party fully compensates what it lacks in common sense with a maniacal determination to prevail, if only because should “peace break out” they would lose their incomes. I sure hope that I am wrong here, but it would take a quite charismatic leader to dare to openly take on the War Party (we all remember how the swamp quickly drained Trump rather than the other way around).

MARGARET KIMBERLEY—The DNC revelations were as big a threat as the war logs. Assange exposed how the Clinton campaign amplified Trump, in a mistaken belief that he would be the easiest Republican to defeat. They also proved that the primary process was rigged against Bernie Sanders, who would have been the better candidate. The revelations had to be squelched and the need to turn Assange into a scapegoat only intensified over time. Russiagate was the means of vilification and made him persona non grata with people who might have been his defenders.

The Assange Case Is The US Defending Its Right To Lie: Notes From The Edge Of The Narrative Matrix
16 minutes readCAITLIN JOHNSTONE—Besides a brief window after 9/11 the US has never really been able to sell the narrative that governments it wants to ramp up aggression against are about to attack its easily-defended shores. So instead it does ridiculous things like claiming those governments are about to invade Ukraine and Taiwan.
The US empire never attacks, it only “defends”. All its aggressions are always about “defending” freedom and democracy, “defending” human rights, “defending” nations that can’t defend themselves, etc. Often it even “defends” preemptively, before the attacker has done anything. Sometimes the attacker is the last to find out that they were planning an attack.
