ANDREI MARTYANOV—I also love to use Andrei Andreevich Gromyko’s famous dictum that ten years of negotiations is better than one day of war. United States desperately needed a summit with Russia after the events around LDNR in April this year. The United States needed this dialogue for a variety of reasons and Russians, as I state non-stop for many years, will talk to the devil himself if need be, because Russians know what real war is better than anyone in the world, let alone American politicians, and Russians are, obviously, keenly aware of the firepower they have at their disposal. At Geneva both sides agreed to talk about “strategic stability”.

Good riddance: War criminal Donald Rumsfeld found dead. Lived long and wealthy life.
24 minutes readPHYLLIS BENNIS—First came the lies. Rumsfeld’s false claims justifying war in Iraq continued and escalated. The inaugural lie, of course, was the entire premise that Iraq’s government was somehow connected to the 9/11 attacks. Assertion was easy, and with a mainstream media largely unwilling to challenge even known lies, there were few questions asked. Then came weapons of mass destruction, uranium yellowcake from Niger, Iraq’s purchase of aluminum tubes that could “only” be used for nuclear weapons production. The deception at the UN Security Council, where the supposed good guy among the Bush war criminals, Secretary of State Colin Powell, got up and lied to the council, lied to the American people, and lied to the world about what the United States “knew” about Iraq’s nonexistent WMDs.

Essential Jimmy Dore in the Time of Friendly Fascism
6 minutes readJimmy Dore exposes the many faces of cynical fraudulence and creeping fascism in the US empire under liberal auspices (soon to become fully bipartisan, of course since it is a systemic project!).

Gagging the world to make the US official narrative prevail.
5 minutes readJimmy Dore sounds the alarm about an illegal act (yet another!) by the US government, this time to silence Iran and other governments regarded as purveyors of “inconvenient truths” by Washington. It’s obvious the United States in its imperialist oligarchic form clearly does not adhere to international standards of civilised behaviour. No wonder most decent, educated people around the globe, and a significant number of Americans, see our government as an outlaw regime with no real semblance to an actual democracy.

Biden’s Lawless Bombing of Iraq and Syria Only Serves the Weapons Industry Funding Both Parties
24 minutes readGLENN GREENWALD—”Having to watch the Bush/Cheney and Obama/Biden operatives who ushered in this permanent state of illegality and lawless wars prance around during the Trump years as noble defenders of the sacred rule of law — all while being celebrated and profiting greatly — was nauseating in the best of times. American elites do not care about the rule of law or the Constitution. Ignoring it is how they empower themselves at the expense of the citizenry…”
