PATRICE GREANVILLE—Fiorella Isabel conducts an in-depth discussion on the plight of Palestinians with Mideast expert and longtime activist and citizen journalist Eva K. Bartlett. Few people can touch Bartlett for her comprehensive grasp of Mideast history and politics, and for the sheer bravery of her political positions. Kudos to Fiorella and the folks at Convo Couch for this indispensable interview.

PHILIP GIRALDI—Israel has even declared itself legally a Jewish state with inferior rights for the 20% of the population that technically are Israeli citizens but consisting nearly all of Palestinian Christians and Muslims. Those Palestinians who are not citizens are under Israeli imposed martial law on the West Bank and have no rights whatsoever, including the right to life. Israeli soldiers who shoot to kill unarmed Arab civilians, including children, are almost never punished and some of them are actually celebrated as heroes.
Noam Chomsky describes the situation from the Arab point of view: “You take my water, burn my olive trees, destroy my house, take my job, steal my land, imprison my father, kill my mother, bombard my country, starve us all, humiliate us all, but I am to blame: I shot a rocket back.” It is now generally conceded that Israel is an apartheid state, with the Arabs remaining in historic Palestine living in what is virtually an open-air prison. In return the unarmed Palestinians have occasionally struck back in so far as they could, leading to an Israeli response consisting of overwhelming military force using “industrial” state of the art weapons versus home-made rockets to produce the disproportionate slaughter such as is occurring right now.

Establishment comic John Oliver breaks ranks with the zionists and all hell breaks loose
23 minutes readPATRICE GREANVILLE—It’s a well known fact that the totality of corporate journos and entertainers, under penalty of career cancellation, obediently toe the imperialist line, that’s why unless you watch or read alternative media sources (like this one) you are liable to be consuming nothing but the smelly servings of the Ministry of Truth. That’s the case therefore with all major comedians approved by the empire, a select group of extremely well paid people which includes Steven Colbert, Bill Maher, John Oliver, and others of equivalent caliber. Well guess, what, folks, it now seems that John Oliver apparently had something like a conversion—at last—or the Israeli/Palestinian issue is so obvious a crime that he simply had enough. Oliver is obviously aware that his segment would detonate an explosion of Hasbara retaliation, and this already has begun. It’s clear the pressure, as usual, is on to make him a non-person, to cancel him, and to make an example, too, lest others begin to think they can cross the invisible but very real imperial red lines with impunity. Oliver’s presentation, by the way, given his usual passion and talent to inject clarity into neglected or distorted issues, was good, but far from splendid. He is either still learning or he was pulling many of the punches that the gravity of Israel’s crimes actually merit.

MIKO PELED—According to the Israeli press, Netanyahu and his cabinet all received calls from President Joe Biden and members of his cabinet demonstrating their undying, never-ending, and unconditional support for the bloodletting of Palestinians. As hard as this is to see — particularly from Jerusalem, where I am less than an hour drive from Gaza — there should be no surprise.
When Joe Biden says he is a Zionist, he means he supports apartheid, ethnic cleansing and genocide in Palestine. It means that he will give unlimited money and weapons to Israel to execute the cruelest, bloodiest, most racist policies against the Palestinians, no questions asked.

The First World War, Cecile Rhodes and Conspiracy Facts
55 minutes readDAVID W. PEAR—International capitalism is not based on peaceful competition. Instead, it is based on military power, financial blockades, blackmail, and might makes right. International capitalism is a system of imperialism, monopoly, and war. When an empire is challenged, it lashes out. Empires try to destroy their competitors. Empires project their own lust for power and world domination onto all competitors.
