FRED REED—Here context matters. The US, or those who control the US, are trying to maintain American hegemony, or near hegemony, over the world. America has 600-800 military bases around the globe depending on what you regard as a military base. While many tens of thousands of America sleep on the sidewalks, while infrastructure crumbles, while standards of living fall and medical care is pricey but poor, the Pentagon always gets its budget. At the level of the White House, the Five-Sided Wind Tunnel, the arms industry, the important thing is to maintain the flow of money. And dominate the world. Trump is the embodiment of this looking-for-a-fight attitude. Not good

People across Bolivia are celebrating the return to democracy and the end to the rule of the repressive de facto regime. The MAS victory has been saluted by world leaders such as Nicolás Maduro, Alberto Fernández, Andrés Manuel López Obrador and others who provided crucial support to Morales and other members of his government and the party during and following the violent coup. How Russophobia Wrought Death of the United States
15 minutes readThis week saw yet more U.S. intelligence claims of Russian malign interference in American politics (as well as alleged interference from China and Iran). And even beyond that.

In China, voting occurs at the local level for representatives to the local people’s congresses. Members of the local congress then elect from within that body those who will become members of the provincial congress, who then elect those to represent their province at the National People’s Congress. Thus each tier of representation becomes more selective, rigorous, and professional. While this differs from the direct suffrage practiced in the West, it promotes competence and dedication, and a government where all lives truly matter, and none are kept in ghettoes by design.
