In his report, contributing editor Jon Elmer looks into the details of the fifth exchange of prisoners last Saturday in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip. This is a segment from The Electronic Intifada's livestream on day 26 of the Gaza ceasefire. Ali Abunimah, Nora Barrows-Friedman, Jon Elmer and Asa Winstanley were joined by Abubaker Abed live from the Gaza Strip. The images are stunning: Palestinian fighters in crisp uniforms, footage of Israeli armour being destroyed, a mass of surviving Palestinians witnessing the ceremonies, all of it confirming that the spirit of Gazans has not been broken despite the depraved 15-month, non-stop, genocidal bombardment by Israel and the Western Empire.  Watch closely. It is horrific to think that this level of gallantry, as demonstrated by the Palestinian people and their fighters, can be wiped out by the brute force of 2,000 lb American "bunker busters" munitions sent by a nation disgracefully controlled by Zionist ideology.
