EDITOR—1943, the Great Patriotic War, territory of Belarus. The 16-year-old boy Flera, having dug out a carbine among scraps of barbed wire, rusty machine-gun belts and shot-through helmets, goes into the forest to join the ranks of the partisans. This film, like no other, shows the tragedy of a child on a battlefield. At the beginning of the picture Flera is just a teenager. But In the end, having gone through horror and fear, child becomes an adult, frighteningly adult – his face is distorted by senile wrinkles, and there is no room for love in his soul…

EDITOR—The panel discusses the suicidal and utterly absurd pro-Israeli posture adopted by RFK, Jr. regarding the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, and how this will surely demolish his chances of mounting a credible independent presidential campaign in 2024. Ajamu Baraka highlights the repulsive role played by establishment “Negroes” like the obedient and self-serving Cory Booker, one of many ambitious charlatans still defending and profiting from a criminal status quo.

EDITOR—Ali Abunimah, Nour Jaghama and Atheer Yacoub React to Israeli genocide. Ali works with the Electronic Intifada (EI), a must-read website staffed by Arabs and Arab-Americans dedicated to the Palestinian struggle. There’s only one site that matches EI in its journalistic quality and integrity, and that is Mondoweiss, ironically, (or perhaps fittingly, since there are many Jews who do not subscribe to Zionism), founded and edited by a Jew, journalist Philip Weiss. A rather coy description says that Mondoweiss “is a news website devoted to covering American foreign policy in the Middle East, chiefly from a progressive Jewish perspective”, although it is much more than that.

ALEKS—Israel has, as all other nuclear powers, a contingency plan, named “Samson Plan”. Which essentially means that it would discharge its whole nuclear arsenal against its enemies before it goes under. This is what makes me think that full destruction of Israel is not the plan of the Axis of Resistance. Rather some kind of “Regime Change” and implementation of Resolution 242.

CHRIS HEDGES—Israel was founded on lies. The lie that Palestinian land was largely unoccupied. The lie that 750,000 Palestinians fled their homes and villages during their ethnic cleansing by Zionist militias in 1948 because they were told to do so by Arab leaders. The lie that it was Arab armies that started the 1948 war that saw Israel seize 78 percent of historic Palestine. The lie that Israel facedannihilation in 1967, forcing it to invade and occupy the remaining 22 percent of Palestine, as well as land belonging to Egypt and Syria.
