STEVE HORN—Before running the Goldwater Institute, Flake served as a lobbyist for the mining company Rossing Uranium in Namibia, 68 percent owned by mining giant Rio Tinto. Flake’s official biography only mentions his work abroad there as executive director of the Foundation for Democracy, helping the country “usher in freedom and democracy.” At the time, Namibia was run by the South African government, which imposed apartheid in the country until it gained independence in 1990.

The Best Definition of Donald Trump We Have Found
In his zeal to prove to his antagonists in the War Party that he is as bloodthirsty as their champion, Hillary Clinton, and more manly than Barack Obama, Trump seems to have gone “play-crazy” -- acting like an unpredictable maniac in order to terrorize the Russians into forcing some kind of dramatic concessions from their Syrian allies, or risk Armageddon. However, the “play-crazy” gambit can only work when the leader is, in real life, a disciplined and intelligent actor, who knows precisely what actual boundaries must not be crossed. That ain’t Donald Trump -- a pitifully shallow and ill-disciplined man, emotionally handicapped by obscene privilege and cognitively crippled by white American chauvinism. By pushing Trump into a corner and demanding that he display his most bellicose self, or be ceaselessly mocked as a “puppet” and minion of Russia, a lesser power, the War Party and its media and clandestine services have created a perfect storm of mayhem that may consume us all.— Glen Ford, Editor in Chief, Black Agenda Report

#1 – The climate changes, with or without human activity. More co2 (plant food). The plants are starving.
#2 – Most of federal land is in direct violation of the Constitution
#3 – And the Democrat Senators rubberstamp a Democrat presiden’t nominees
#4 – Let’s use all options for energy. Wind & sun are not 100% reliable, and not as efficient. Plus they both have ‘hidden’ environmental costs. End all subsidies to all industries immediately.
#5 – No disagreement, but could have been taken further. Repeal the NDAA. Blatantly in violation of the Constitution.
#6 – Still waiting for a logical explanation how school choice is harmful to anything but the Teacher’s Unions, and the public school monopoly.
#7 – When the same people who treat the Koch brothers the same as they treat George Soros, then they will show a little integrity. If one (or 2 in this case) billionaire’s money is bad, then all billionaires’ money is bad. And at least the Koch brothers are from the US. Soros is not a citizen, yet nobody cares about his money influencing policy.
