Reid, Rachel Maddow and Chris Hayes are little more than well paid mouth pieces for the Democrats and their neoliberal agenda. MSNBC is rightly known as MSDNCowing to this very obvious allegiance.

DAN STEINBOCK—What the Shangri-La Summit illustrated (and seeks to reverse) are the new economic and strategic realities in Asia, as reflected by vital, longstanding shifts in arms transfers in the region. While the U.S. defense system remains the most innovative in the world, U.S. global military leadership continues to erode. This is particularly clear in Asia where China increasingly accounts for investment and jobs in many economies (which tends to support regional stability), but the U.S. no longer doesn’t. Instead, and as a result, America’s role relies less on its now-waning economic dominance and increasingly on its military presence, which is legitimized on the basis of the alleged “Chinese threat” (which tends to destabilize regional stability).

FRANK SCOTT—The system has spoken loudly if not screamed in making a small group of humans richer than any in history while turning greater populations into paupers and reducing hundreds of millions more to only temporarily avoiding poverty by charging their rent, food, clothing, shelter and what passes for entertainment to a vast electronic network of symbolic debt that threatens to consume far more than any bank bailout can materially deal with, at least under the private profit before public good system which is so out of control if it were an individual it would be physically, morally, spiritually and therapeutically bankrupt and placed in a padded cell.
