Echoes of the Lincoln Battalion—
American volunteer nicknamed “Texas” fights for the right of the heroic Donbass people to set an independent course from the fascist-infested Kiev regime.

‘Texas’, a U.S. citizen fighting with the Vostok Battalion of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR/DPR) told of his motivation and battle experience in Donetsk, Wednesday.
“Texas” used to hang out with a bunch of western liberal armchair revolutionaries (WLAR) on Facebook, pounding out their fantasies about how Russia should intervene militarily in Novorossiya, from the comfort and safety of their suburban homes on quiet, tree-lined streets, with their 50-caliber keyboards rattling away, with heavy emphasis on daily Putin-demonization (“Putin is a coward, Putin is a traitor, hang the bastard, hang the SOB”), pathetically dumb to the unconventional war that Putin and Russia are fighting, especially its propaganda component.
My hypothesis is that “Texas” came to realize that his WLAR “friends” had only streak gonads, so he went off to volunteer for the NAF (Novorossiyan Armed Forces), armed with balls the size of the moon (about the same volume as Putin’s). Something like Americans with Measurable Gonads going off to fight on the Republican side against the fascists in the Spanish Civil War.

Periodic updates about “Texas” have appeared on Facebook. The latest is an astounding, brilliant channeling and update of Woodie Guthrie’s classic, “All You Fascists Bound to Lose”.
Note the setting, possibly in the Donetsk airport, with one very imposing fighter with a large assault rifle and a revolutionary beard to the right-rear of “Texas” and another masked fighter gently rocking, nearly supine in a granny rocker to the left-rear of “Texas”. “Texas” sings in Texas-accented Russian, to the amusement of the translator producing the subtitles in English!
I can’t wait for “Texas” to reload his guitar with Woodie’s classic sign, “This Guitar Kills Fascists” and perform some more (including “All You Fascists Bound to Lose”). There is definitely some change gonna migrate into his guitar case.
