BBC and NPR came to Elon Musk with the intent of exposing him as some anti-WOKE barbarian bent on enabling "hate-filled" rightwing zealots to "abuse free speech" on Twitter, but their attempt, fueled by sanctimony and hypocrisy, as chronicled here, failed miserably. (NB: Of course, Musk is no people's champion. No billionaire ever is. Nor is he a principled defender of free speech. The bilious capitalist competitive and monopolist impulse runs deep in him, as testified by his current persecution of substack, and his management of Twitter as an open platform has been so far capricious, albeit a damn sight better than the old regime of WOKE imperialist censorship.).
