Thank you, Patrice Greanville, for this subject matter – this is excellent. I cannot agree more with your characterization of Lindsey Graham.
Lindsey Graham, in my opinion, is the epitome of situational-ethics and opportunism. He is vile, venal, and a huckster.
Lindsey is akin to a modern-day cruel slaver (such as the villain and antagonist: Calvin J. Candie, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, in the movie – Django Unchained).
This is the perfect day – Memorial day 2023 – to juxtapose my father (a Full-Bird Colonel in the USAF) to Lindsey Graham (Colonel) – Memorial day 2023.
My father’s duty in WWII: OPERATIONS
Participated in operations preparatory to the Normandy invasion by attacking V-weapon sites,
bridges, coastal defenses, marshaling yards, and airfields, Apr-Jun 1944. Hit strong points in France on D-Day and assisted ground forces throughout the remainder of the Normandy campaign by bombing fuel dumps, defended areas, and other objectives. Engaged in bombardment of German forces in the region of St Lo during the Allied breakthrough in Jul. After moving to the Continent in Aug, struck enemy positions at St Malo and Brest and bombed targets in the Rouen area as Allied armies swept across the Seine and advanced to the Siegfried Line. Began flying missions into Germany in Sep, attacking such targets as bridges, defended areas, and storage depots. Struck the enemy’s communications during the Battle of the Bulge (Dec 1944-Jan 1945) and received a DUC for a mission on 23 Dec 1944 when the group withstood heavy flak and fighter attack to sever a railway bridge at Eller, a vital link in the enemy’s supply line across the Moselle. Continued to support the Allied drive into Germany until Apr 1945.
My dad was a Bombardier in a B-26 Martin Marauder.
Lindsey Graham’s duty in WWII: NONE
The Post shows that as a military reservist, Graham was promoted despite doing almost nothing and that he misrepresented his military service. For his part, Graham tells the Post that while he doesn’t mean to “pat myself on the back, Colonel Graham will put my entire record up against anyone who has ever served.”
Thank you, friend. A wonderful, highly informative, and irrefutable exposé of this walking piece of excrement, a disgrace even to fellow US politicians. Why S. Carolinians keep this Neocon scum in Congress says plenty about the condition of politics in that state and in the US in general.
