Gaza and its displaced Palestinians like the ‘Sundenbock’ (scapegoat) in Judaism is burdened with the symbolic role of assuming all of world’s sins in order for its antagonists to be cleansed before God. Gazans are the Godforsaken dirty mob, only out to kill every Israeli they can and with no civilizing carapace to hold them back. Abandoned by the Arab regimes that profit from US domination, they are the ultimate outcasts, the plebs that one can eliminate at will. That is why the fast growing but till now powerless insurrections are class warfare. If one is driven from one’s farm and sees financially better-off people take over as settlers (who have perfectly secure existences in the West), while failing to become the inner Buddha, one fights and responds in the same cruel manner. That last the Israelis learned from their German experiences. No human is an angel and no country is paradise and if oppressed both will react violently.
