On June 2, some 15,000 people marched in the Pisa town of Coltano to protest against the government’s plan to open a new military base.
The mobilization was called by various organizations such as Potere al Popolo, Communist Refoundation Party (PRC), Communist Youth Front (FGC), Si Cobas union, USB Union, Italian Communist Party (PCI), FGCI, OSA or the ‘No Bases Movement ‘.
Precis: This is the kerfuffle that took place in Zula state (Veneuzela) when Voluntad Popular (see below for more details), a party created by a notorious US-allied reactionary cataloged by the Venezuelan government as a terrorist, Leopoldo Lopez, tried to stage a rally in support of Juan Guaidó (a partner of Lopez in subversion and tool f the Americans).
The Ukrainian conflict is still occupying many fronts, although the decisive one for the moment is the Donbass. Notably, a few days back Russia struck a major artery for the shipment of NATO weapons from Europe via the Beskidy railway tunnel. From the time of Genghis Khan’s Empire of the Blue Sky, which at one point encompassed Russia, China, Korea, India and Persia (and featured the familiar Russian themes of collective security and obligatory mutual aid) and until the present time Russia has stood alone in its perennial conflict with the West. But now Putin, standing alone, stands a chance of cementing a gigantic international alliance of non-Western nations, comprising the vast majority of the world’s population, an independent and plentiful resource base and well over half of all the economic power.
The Kiev regime, says Lira, literally told the world they were prepared to make nuclear weapons (they have plenty of fissionable material), and they got no push-back from the West. That alone made Russia’s position clear, there would have to be a war to prevent that possibility.
