Medhurst is disappointed in the lack of action from Russia and China. But they clearly see the state that the US is in, political chaos at home and as has already been recognized becoming more violent when its hegemony is threatened. Those countries see the slow dismantling of the enormous US power and wait in the wings, so to speak. Israel however is indeed fighting for its continued existence and see that they have nothing to lose, ergo the total disregard for the world’s opinion and provocative attacks (to involve the US) like on the Iranian embassy.
