- America’s Deplorable Imperial Agenda
Mocking peace, equity and justice, America punishes its best while honoring its worst. It serves its privileged class exclusively at the expense of most others. It’s forever war agenda rages against invented enemies. The late Gore Vidal’s book, titled “Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace” explained how America got to be so hated.
He called its political process a system “where numerous elections are held at great cost without issues and with interchangeable candidates” no different from each other. Results turn out the same way every time, names and faces alone different, deplorable policies unchanged. On December 27, addressing Iranian officials in Tehran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei correctly called America “one of the most corrupt and oppressive governments in the world…our main enemy,” adding:
“They supported terrorists and Daesh as much as they could. They are still covertly assisting Daesh and the Takfiris.”
Both fascist wings of its one-party state support most of the world’s tinpot despots, selling them arms and munitions to brutalize their people and wage war. America and its rogue allies are guilty of high crimes of war, against humanity and genocide.
The United States “commit(s) crimes in their own country…US police kill Black women, children and youths and are then acquitted in the court,” Khamenei explained, adding:
“This is their judiciary system. Then they criticize the judiciaries of other countries, including our faithful judiciary system.” He called on his country’s officials to stay vigilant against a hostile aggressor, wanting Iranian sovereign independence replaced by repressive US-controlled governance.
Washington uses ISIS, al-Qaeda, its al-Nusra offshoot, and other terrorist groups as imperial foot soldiers in countries where they’re deployed – arming, funding, training and directing them, continuing to use them in Syria, wanting regime change and US-controlled puppet rule installed.
After aiding Syrian and allied forces liberate most terrorist-controlled areas in the country, most Russian forces were withdrawn.
Some remain, continuing aerial operations to eliminate remaining US-supported ISIS and al-Nusra fighters entirely. Defeating ISIS is mostly accomplished. According to Russia’s Chief of General Staff Gen. Valery Gerasimov, some terrorist fighters operate in de-escalation zones.
Al-Nusra and its affiliates oppose conflict resolution. “Therefore, they must be eliminated,” he said, the task to be completed in 2018, Russian aerial operations to be used as needed, along with limited numbers of support personnel on the ground. Sergey Lavrov explained ISIS was dealt a “decisive blow…(T)he main fight (with its forces) is over,” adding:
“Now, of course, the main anti-terrorist objective is the defeat of Jabhat al-Nusra. The Syrian army and its allies have been pushing (its) fighters) out of the country with our support…(T)hey are still resisting…because they have been receiving assistance from abroad.”
Without elaborating, Lavrov means from Washington, NATO, Israel and other regional rogue states.
Despite withdrawal of most Russian forces from the country, “in the event of recurrent terrorist activities, we will vigorously support the Syrian army’s actions with the help of our Aerospace Forces,” Lavrov stressed, adding:
“(A) decision has been made with this end in view, and it relies on intergovernmental agreements with Damascus on the Russian armed forces’ permanent deployment bases in Tartus and Khmeymim.”
Russia will remain active in Syria militarily until the terrorist threat is eliminated. Washington’s position on Syria is clear, restated on Wednesday by Rex Tillerson, saying Assad and his family must go – an agenda rejected by Russia and all other countries supporting peace and stability worldwide.
Russia and America are worlds apart on vital geopolitical issues. Conflict resolution in Syria has miles to go. It’ll remain unattainable as long as Washington wants endless war and regime change.
2. Tillerson Proud of America’s Imperial Agenda
[dropcap]H[/dropcap]e switched roles from Big Oil corporate predator to serving as front man for the US imperial state – expressing pride in a NYT op-ed instead of admitting shame, falsely saying:
“Over the past year, the United States has faced immense challenges in its dealings with North Korea, China and Russia, and in its efforts to defeat international terrorism.”
Fact: No nations challenge America. None threaten its security. It’s rogue agenda threatens everyone.
Fact: Washington created and supports international terrorism, using ISIS and likeminded groups to advance its imperium, doing nothing to defeat the scourge it pretends to oppose.
Tillerson: “…Americans should be encouraged by the progress…made in pushing for global peace and stability.”
Fact: Washington deplores these notions. Its endless wars of aggression speak for themselves.
Tillerson: Trump “identified North Korea as the United States’ greatest security threat.”
Fact: Throughout its post-WW II history, the DPRK never attacked another country. America does it all the time, waging endless wars of aggression on humanity.
Tillerson: “A door to dialogue (with North Korea) remains open, but we have made it clear (it) must earn its way back to the negotiating table. Until denuclearization occurs, the pressure will continue.”
Fact: Pyongyang needs maximum military capabilities because of threatened US aggression.
Fact: Washington “must earn its way back to the negotiating table,” not the DPRK.
Tillerson: “We will continue to pursue (US Asia Pacific) interests…including trade imbalances, intellectual property theft and China’s troubling military activities in the South China Sea and elsewhere.”
Fact: Washington notoriously blames other nations for its own destructive policies. It pressures, bullies, threatens and intimidates them to bend to its will, naked aggression its favored strategy against governments refusing to surrender their sovereign rights.
Tillerson: “Defeating terrorism remains one of the president’s highest priorities…(So-called US-led coalition forces) recaptured virtually all of previously held Islamic State territory in Iraq and Syria…(w)hile our diplomats were following up with humanitarian aid and assistance…”
Fact: US terror-bombing in Iraq and Syria destroyed vital infrastructure, massacring tens of thousand of defenseless civilians – supporting ISIS and other terrorist groups, not combatting them.
Fact: No US humanitarian aid was provided, except to ISIS and other terrorists in areas they control – none to millions of Syrian and Iraqi victims of US aggression, or other victims elsewhere.
Tillerson: “Afghanistan…cannot become a safe haven for terrorists…”
Fact: As explained in a previous article, quoting Russia’s Foreign Ministry Middle East department head Zamir Kabulov, Washington redeployed over 10,000 ISIS fighters from Syria and Iraq to Afghanistan – a scheme to continue endless war on the country on the phony pretext of combatting terrorism it supports.
Tillerson: “(W)e have no illusions about (Russia). The United States today has a poor relationship with a (country that) invaded…Georgia and Ukraine…and undermined the sovereignty of Western nations by meddling in our election and others.”
Fact: The Russian Federation never invaded or attacked another country, what America does all the time worldwide.
Fact: Moscow doesn’t interfere in the internal affairs of other countries – a US specialty, meddling in the affairs of virtually all other nations.
Tillerson: “Absent a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine situation, which must begin with Russia’s adherence to the Minsk agreements, there cannot be business as usual with Russia.”
Fact: Russia and Donbass freedom fighters alone support and observe Minsk ceasefire terms. Ukraine breached them straightaway, with full US support and encouragement, supplying its fascist regime with heavy weapons for warmaking, not defense as falsely claimed.
Tillerson demands regime change in Syria, wanting Assad ousted, US-controlled puppet rule replacing him.
Russia supports Syrian territorial integrity and right of its people alone to decide who’ll lead them – free from American or other foreign interference.
Tillerson lied about “Iranian threats,” knowing none exist, saying the Trump administration “will work with our allies and with Congress to explore options for addressing the nuclear deal’s many flaws, while building a like-minded effort to punish Iran for its violations of ballistic missile commitments and its destabilizing activities in the region.”
The nuclear deal is supported by all P5+1 nations except America, part of its longstanding hostility toward Iran, not because of “flaws.”
Tehran fosters regional peace and stability. Its ballistic missile program is entirely legitimate. America’s imperial agenda poses humanity’s greatest threat.
Tillerson’s mandate includes lying for the regime he serves dishonorably – a rogue state opposing “democratic values the world over,” subverting its “citizens’ rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” not protecting them as Tillerson falsely claimed.
