Abby has been good but her absurd criticism of Russia’s role in saving Russian speakers from being slaughtered by Ukrainian fascists funded by the US was a serious blow to her credibility as a journalist. To its credit, RT let her stay. Unlike MSNBC, which fired Phil Donahue for his opposition to the Iraq war.
Oh, but wait. RT let her keep her show as Russian propaganda to ‘prove”that RT shows it is objective when Abby criticized Putin so that she won’t be accused of being a Putin puppet.
So no matter how you look at it, it will always be Russia’s fault.
We agree and commented on this elsewhere, saying that her criticism of the Russian “invasion of Crimea,” and the “involvement of the Kremlin in the downing of MH17” betrayed a poor and disappointing understanding of such events. We admire the good work that she does, but when she’s wrong, we call it, too.
