When Trump saw how boxed in he was by the material interests of the ruling oligarchy, he decided to finish off Washington’s already diminishing influence. He appointed Nikki Haley as US ambassador to the UN, where she has done a superb job of alienating every country in the world. Trump has infuriated Europe with tariffs, sanction threats, and orders to Germany not to go forward with the Russian/German natural gas pipeline. Trump followed up by treating the UN Security Council on September 26 as Washington’s footstool. Trump with threats and sanctions is driving Turkey, Iran, India, China, and North Korea into Russia’s arms, and he is driving Europe into independence. In a stroke of genius, Trump, despite his thoroughly neoconservative regime, is destroying Washington’s hegemony.

She reports that Kavanaugh ” Was Associate White House Counsel from 2001 to 2003 when some of his colleagues were turning out memos effectively allowing torture and throwing together plans for Guantanamo and military commissions that lacked crucial constitutional underpinnings. Some of the most notorious of the ‘ Torture Memos’ had been addressed to his boss, Alberto Gonzales, then White House counsel. Later, Kavanaugh was staff secretary for Bush.”
ALAN MACLEOD—That these two US government creations, along with a NATO offshoot like the Atlantic Council, are used by Facebook to distinguish real from fake news is effectively state censorship. No, while most Americans were parsing every “he said” and “she said” of the Kavanaugh hearings, I was embroiled in my own little sordid drama involving “going public,” and smears, and my colleagues attempting to assassinate my character, and so on.
