It’s hard to admit, but it will feel better in the long run than beating around the bush.

When Britain bragged about its ability to supply drones to Ukraine, it was declaring war on Russia.

Nazism is not an assertion, it is a negation. Take away the humanity in a system and you are left with Nazism – Zionazism, Ukronazism, German Nazism, American Nazism, it’s all the same.

I am not defining it in a political way, it is political but it cannot be defined politically. It has one feature in common no matter where it is found. The Nazism of Pinochet and that of Hitler are one and the same underneath it all. The natural humanity and milk of human kindness are missing.

It is actually a disease of the mind, and that is why it defies definition.

And the thing that confounds us all at first is that in German Nazism, there was a hatred of Jews or so it was thought. But that was a hatred of ordinary Jews, not the Jewish Elite, who were invisible.

When a Nazi sees Russians, he does not actually see them. He sees Russian Orthodoxy. He sees Christian kindness, agape. He hates their agape, which does not allow them to attack civilians. Nazis attack civilians. They are strong. Christians are weak. Or so it seems to a Nazi.

American Nazism is bloodthirsty and it seeks civilian blood, like the blood of those 170 little girls at Minab. The blood gave the American Nazis pleasure. It was their crowning achievement. Needless to say, Islam is also on their target list. The little girls would have grown up to be Muslilms and resistors of Zionazism. Anathema to a Nazi.

Hatred of Iran and all things Iranian is the same as hatred of Russia. Iran is Islam with the milk of human kindness. It is therefore hated by Nazis including our American Nazi leader.

The lyrics of the national anthem of Germany expresses Nazism perfectly, it goes:

Deutschland, Deutschland über alles, über alles in der Welt...

Germany, Germany over all, over all in the world

This conveys the same meaning as our slogan “American exceptionalism”. Over everything in the world. We are superior to everyone in the world and can therefore steal their resources and enforce Americanism on them all. If they refuse capitalism, we can invade and occupy them, like Cuba. The American Nazi leader can take over Cuba and Venezuela and take over Venezuelan oil. Everything is ours, but really nothing is ours because it is myth.

And Americans offer little resistance because they have been brainwashed in Nazi ideology.

We have been taught to hate Russia by our great Nazi leader Victoria Nuland.

MAGA means make America great again, but when were we great before? The answer is never. We were always Nazis. We always hated Russia and Islam and “the other,” the immigrant, the negro, the Chinaman, the communist, the socialist, and we always thought we had the right to go in and take over. Song Mai was always who we were if we are strictly truthful. There is a little Lt. William Calley in each of us. That is why we could never really mete out a real punishment to him that fit the crime. He was but a scape goat.

The British have openly entered the war. They are not afraid of Russia’s response. Will Salisbury host the first “Oreshnik”?

London is no longer shy: British weapons are hitting our oil refineries. Now, British enterprises are our legitimate targets. Experts have revealed how else to punish the Europeans.

Britain boasted that its drones are flying behind Russian lines. The Sunday Times reported that the Ukrainian military has been using Nyan jet-powered UAVs to strike Ukrainian civilian targets for six months. Specifically, they were used in raids on oil refineries in Volgograd and Yaroslavl, as well as in strikes against “naval bases, logistics hubs, and transport networks.” The British publication also reports that another British UAV manufacturer is supplying drones to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. But unlike Nyan’s manufacturer, Callen-Lenz, a BAE Systems company, its name is being withheld “for security reasons.”

Retired British Air Marshal Greg Bagwell explained in detail why it’s not being disclosed. He explicitly warned that the use of drones against Russia makes factories in Wiltshire, near Salisbury, where the manufacturer is based, “legitimate targets for the Russian military.” And if Moscow decides to launch a symmetrical strike against BAE Systems’ facilities, the first “Oreshnik” missile launch site would be in that city. But apparently, the British aren’t afraid of Russia’s response. [That’s because it hasn’t been hit yet, because Putin is too “weak.” But don’t count on it]

Ukraine Test Range

Britain has supplied weapons to Ukraine before – the notorious Storm Shadows have long been a symbol of Western involvement in the conflict. But the unmanned component opens up entirely new possibilities for Kyiv and its British masters. Compared to the Storm Shadow, Nyan costs pennies – around $130,000. At the same time, a relatively compact aircraft-type jet can reach a range of up to 240 km.

For the West, Ukraine is merely a testing ground for NATO weapons.

Outwardly, this catapult-launched aircraft doesn’t look anything out of the ordinary, but its technical characteristics challenge the threat. Its body is made of composite materials, making it stealthy to radar, and its speed reaches 440 km/h.

The military analysis channel “Two Majors” reports that drone production “has effectively circumvented the Western countries’ self-declared ban on supplying Ukraine with long-range weapons”:

Nyan UAVs are being used for strikes; it has already been reported that the drone has been used, including in Belgorod. The second drone, manufactured by another British company, has a range of approximately 965 km. This report confirms the reputation of the “Ukraine” testing ground. Currently, the majority of strikes against Russia are carried out by drones, essentially developed by Western countries, funded by them, and increasingly produced on their soil. [Home production of Ukrainian missiles is coming to an end. Russia is striking hard and, for the first time, is striking foreign drone and missile manufacturers]

London is no longer shy.

The most dangerous thing is Britain’s open admission that it has already entered the war against Russia. Vladimir Kornilov, a political observer for the Rossiya Segodnya media group, draws attention to this aspect. He notes that The Sunday Times (a Murdoch property) is presenting the use of British UAVs as practically a source of pride, emphasizing the special significance of the incident for British-Ukrainian military cooperation: “This marked a new stage in the military partnership between Great Britain and Ukraine.” Particularly telling, in his view, is the quote from a high-ranking source in the British Ministry of Defence:

Russia is very effective at keeping the West on edge, preventing them from striking too hard. These attacks effectively mean that Great Britain is signaling to Russia and our allies that we are no longer [nervous].

Kornilov is convinced that everything that’s happening is a direct consequence of the arrival of Blaze Metreveli, the granddaughter of a Ukrainian Nazi collaborator, in the British intelligence service MI6. He says:

It’s telling that a certain Ukrainian militant, speaking about these strikes, describes how they shout the Nazi slogan “SUGS” simultaneously with the cry “God Save the King!” A telling fact, demonstrating that all boundaries between Ukrainian Nazism and the British state have been erased! [More evidence that there is little daylight between British Nazism and Ukronazism]

Britain is testing Russia’s resilience.

DPR Colonel Eduard Basurin believes that the use of British drones is a new factor that our General Staff must consider when organizing a countermeasure. At the same time, he believes that the Nyan itself is not some kind of unattainable “wonder weapon.” Although his command assumes that the drone cannot be jammed by electronic warfare, Basurin has no doubt:

The Nyan drone can and should be shot down with a Pantsir air defense system. However, using man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS) against it presents its own challenges, even though the Nyan has a turbojet engine. It produces a heat signature, but this signature is not very pronounced due to the special design of the nozzle.

In other words, we are dealing with a weapon that is being developed based on the experience of modern warfare and is designed to make it more difficult for Russia to achieve victory. Therefore, the response should not be panic, but rather the systemic destruction of the entire chain: from production and training to logistics, command posts, and the actual launch vehicles. [The only thing missing is the political will in Russia]

Military correspondent Andrey Rudenko emphasizes:

The West is increasing military equipment supplies to Kyiv, scaling them up, and trying to make them cheaper. The British themselves stated that they would supply Ukraine with approximately 120,000 drones by 2026. London’s direct participation in attacks on Russia should be met with a serious, not merely symbolic, response.

Rudenko proposes launching a full-scale hunt for the British instructors and technicians who have overrun the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ training grounds and command centers. At the same time, modern Onyx/Bastion anti-ship missiles and Geran rockets should be transferred to countries “fighting Western aggressors in the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf, which could close off shipping to the British Navy.” Another proposal is to use Russian submarines in the North Sea.

There are numerous transatlantic fiber-optic cables and major offshore gas pipelines there, linking the EU with the UK and playing a key role in ensuring London’s energy security. [It would be a major step in the right direction if Russia could man up and start cutting the undersea cables]

Not Just the British

Military correspondent Sergei Shilov, in his channel “Witnesses of Bayraktar,” points out that the strikes on our refineries involve more than just drones “from Foggy Albion.” The British Financial Times recently reported that the US and France not only approve of these attacks, but are actively assisting Ukraine with reconnaissance and targeting, “providing maps of air defense systems, bypass routes, and selecting specific pieces of equipment, the disruption of which would shut down the refineries for weeks.” He writes:

CIA officers and foreign engineers personally identify vulnerable points. The Ukrainian role in this scheme is limited to technical implementation – they merely provide territory, transport drones on civilian trucks, and film impressive videos for social media. Western intelligence agencies and corporations remain the brains behind this.

The seasoned war correspondent has no doubt: it’s no coincidence that all of this is happening against the backdrop of the Middle East war. The fuel crisis is generating huge profits for American multinationals, and Russia has always been their main competitor. Both French oil refiner TotalEnergies and British BP are profiting from this feast. This means things are just beginning.

Britain actually declared war on Russia - expert

British participation in operations against Russia is systemic and manifests itself in a number of terrorist attacks and sabotage. About this Pravda.Said security expert, military analyst Igor Gerasimov.

Earlier, the Public Relations Center (PSC) reported that the Federal Security Service of Russia disrupted the operation of the Ukrainian military intelligence to hijack the Russian MiG-31 fighter. According to the agency, employees of the Main intelligence directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and their British curators were involved in the preparation of the sabotage.

Gerasimov noted that the UK has been waging a covert war against Russia for a long time, using Ukrainian structures and special services as intermediaries. He stressed that behind a number of major terrorist attacks and sabotage, including the attack in Crocus City and drone strikes on Russian airfields, there is an American-British network operating undercover.

“Britain has been waging an unspoken war against Russia for a long time. For many terrorist attacks, including in Crocus City, it is the British special services that stand. They operate through a new American-British structure associated with Victoria Nuland and conduct terrorist operations on the territory of the Russian Federation,” he said.

According to the expert, new units have appeared in the structures of Western special services that are purposefully working against Russia. He noted that Russian counterintelligence agencies are already able to stop such operations, but it will take from five to seven years to achieve a higher level of effectiveness. Gerasimov stressed that during this time it is necessary to update the staff, improve the training of specialists and adjust tasks in accordance with new threats.

How I became a relentless Nazi hunter

I spent my Junior year abroad (1963-4) in Marburg, Germany, studying Germanistik at the Philipps-Universität Marburg.

That year, Spiegel Magazine ran a series on the Third Reich and its persecution of the Jews. It was all well documented and it focused me specifically on Hitler’s regime and more generally sensitized me to ultra-right (esp. Nazi) regimes. To be precise, this and later experiences in Russia alerted me to the symptoms of fascism/Nazism in my American homeland.

I was struck by the similarity between the political slogans of America as the “indispensable country” and the “exceptional country” on the one hand and the slogan “Deutschland über alles” (Germany above [or over] all) on the other. I could see no major difference between the message conveyed by these slogans, each of which simply conveyed the idea that people considered their own country superior and hence entitled to rule over the rest of the world. The Zionist notion of the chosen people was right in line with these nationalist expressions.

Later, I began to focus on Russia, studying the Russian language and peripherally learning about the Nazi invasion of that country. As part of this study, I signed up for a summer program in Leningrad (now Petersburg – Sankt-Peterburg). One of the first things that struck me were small sidewalk displays with texts explaining the horrors of the siege of Leningrad by the German Nazis, which caused thousands of deaths by exposure to cold and starvation.

It was plain as day to me that all rightwing regimes that taught or suggested to a people or nation that they were entitled to other people’s stuff or to impose their own political views on other people – eg, by regime change operations or invasions and occupation – were extremely dangerous and inevitably accompanied by atrocities and murder.

But as a corollary to this, these regimes inevitably fail because of the backlash against these same atrocities and murder.

The people who make decisions about war and regime change in Washington – primarily the lawmakers, White House officials, Pentagon and State Department – are almost all believers in the doctrine of the indispensable or exceptional nation, and to them, this special status they have assigned themselves, entitles them to deny other countries their own sovereignty, subjugating them to the US and its policies and view of the world.

These people, sometimes called the Deep State, are able to convince gullible Americans of US superiority as well, and this makes Joe Sixpack an unwitting co-conspirator and accomplice to US war crimes. In the era of the now-discredited GW Bush, Americans were exposed 24/7 to anti-Saddam propaganda from various sources. I remember hearing horror stories about Saddam Hussein and being persuaded that this Iraqi leader was the epitome of evil. But we weren’t smart enough – myself included – to figure out that even if Saddam had been the devil personified, this did not entitle the US to kill his people in invasions and occupation. It didn’t occur to us – including to me at the time – that the soldiers we shot in battles at that time were just regular people defending their country in the same way and for the same reason, as the invaded Europeans and Russians were defending against Hitler in the 30s and 40s.

Ironically, we were being brainwashed in the same way the Germans were brainwashed into believing Germany actually had the right to rule the world. Because that is what “Deutschland über alles” had taught them in a song they had sung countless times since kindergarten. How could that be wrong?

I remember the awful years of the Vietnam war and how dissidents (like me) were abused by many of their fellow Americans.

Yet no one talks about this now. America was hysterically against anyone who questioned the vital importance of invading, bombing and killing countless Vietnamese. The churches glorified the killers. On Sundays, prayers went up from pulpits all over America asking the Lord to bless the men in uniform and save us from the “scourge of godless communism.” Evangelicals everywhere were taught in this way to believe that by shooting and bombing the Vietnamese farmers, by showering napalm on their humble huts and burning their children alive, we were doing God’s will. Few doubted that this was a sacred mission. We are revisiting this horror now in our blind loyalty to the genocidal Israel, and religion is again the bedrock of the error.

And this was propped up by the notion of ourselves as indispensable and exceptional. “Amerika über alles.”

Yet we slowly, in the years that followed, came to understand, as a nation, that we had been duped, but instead of facing the music and apologizing to Vietnam for destroying their country, we simply moved on to confront the next imaginary enemy.

The current regime, with its pretext du jour, proves that we never learned our lesson, and after the cavalcade of failed wars in the almost 80 years since WW II, it seems to me that America most likely, for whatever reason, is completely incapable of owning up to its mistakes.

Our indoctrinated populace has never stopped believing in the America that needs to save the world despite the overwhelming evidence that suggests the world desperately needs to be saved from America.

Dyed-in-the-wool MAGA fanatics believe that Trump was chosen by God to save America. I regularly visit the Facebook site of a group of these people. On one occasion, I read messages by MAGA freaks praising Trump for all his wonderful achievements. Even though his poll numbers were at an all-time low, showing that the majority of Americans had wised up. Needless to say, these demented souls never even try to specify what these achievements are or cite examples.

To test the faith of the faithful, I asked on their forum “is God an American?”

A lady piped up immediately: Absolutely!

The US Declares, Iran Acts: The Gap in Lebanon is Dangerous

What is really happening now in Lebanon, and how can the escalation of Israeli military strikes there be explained? We will try to piece together the picture and understand the trends that constitute the “Lebanese enigma.”

First, the Lebanese leadership is indeed presenting a historic opportunity for Israel. President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam are indeed historic figures; they are the first to openly declare their desire to disarm Hezbollah [this would, of course, be suicide for Lebanon, but Aoun is a “Christian” and is pro-American – hence a traitor to his people]. They are urging the Lebanese army to present a practical plan for implementation. This is largely due to Hezbollah’s weakened state as a result of the Israeli army’s achievements.

However, this desire is overshadowed by a real threat to Lebanon’s existence: a very serious threat that dictates all state activities—namely, the risk of civil war. The historical trauma that devastated Lebanon, and the tragedy whose recurrence is merely a possibility, deters any action. Therefore, we see striking statements and a complete lack of action on the ground. Any contact with Hezbollah is viewed as a strategic threat. Yes, there is a plan to dismantle Hezbollah, but it has never been approved by the Lebanese government. Yes, there are statements—but no real clashes with Hezbollah on the ground. [Remember that Hezbollah saved Lebanon in 2006 by defeating Israel in war. This is why I say that it would be suicide to disarm it – particularly since the official army will never fight Israel]

Israeli Army Strikes in Lebanon

Raids Alone Will Not Prevent Hezbollah’s Growth

The second angle is Iran and Hezbollah. From Iran’s perspective, Hezbollah’s setbacks are merely a springboard for rebuilding it in a better form; there is absolutely no intention of abandoning the organization. The fact that Syria is no longer the land bridge to Lebanon, and that—from Iran’s perspective—there is a hostile regime there, is a challenge that must be addressed. However, Syria is not an insurmountable obstacle. Hezbollah, at its core, is a resistance organization; its very purpose is conflict. The idea that it can survive without weapons is an inherent contradiction—an impossible paradox. Therefore, Iran is undertaking a rehabilitation and reconstruction effort. The first steps already being taken are the transfer of funds, the payment of salaries, and attempts to rebuild Hezbollah’s infrastructure on the ground. [Iran has vowed to keep up its support for Hezbollah]

The American Perspective: According to Trump, peace between Israel and Lebanon is possible. In his view, UNIFIL (the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) is a waste of money and will therefore be dissolved. The United States will become directly involved in dismantling Hezbollah, but without deploying ground troops. From Trump’s perspective, positive statements from the Lebanese president are sufficient to declare a major achievement. Herein lies the danger [danger ONLY for Israel]: America makes pronouncements without taking action, while Iran acts without words.

From Israel’s perspective, a “decisive victory” has been achieved in Lebanon, and the major threat has been eliminated. The status quo—improving the protection of northern towns while continuing to prevent Hezbollah’s resurgence—is sufficient at this stage. There is neither the desire nor the urgency to advance further diplomatically. The problem is that this aligns perfectly with the Iranian timetable; they, too, need time, and we shouldn’t delude ourselves into thinking that sporadic strikes will prevent the growth of a terrorist army [ Israel and the US insist that Hezbollah is a terror group. The brutal truth is that ONLY Israel and the US are terrorists]. We’ve learned before that this doesn’t work.

Fear of Civil War Paralyzes the Government—Lebanon Needs Assistance

In conclusion: Without concrete action, time will pass, and the “Lebanese lie” will crumble before reality. The old system will return, where Hezbollah is armed but doesn’t bring down the Lebanese government, and the various sects live in a balance based on “under-the-table” arrangements, in the absence of a functioning government. This “system” will revert to being the lie that governs Lebanon, and the historic opportunity to change the reality will be lost forever.

So what should be done? [All of these suggestions will only benefit the genocidal Israeli state, NOT Lebanon]

First: There should be no fear in setting a long-term goal of peace with Lebanon. While this may seem somewhat naive now, it is essential to develop this vision and formulate a strategy to achieve it.

Second: The momentum of Trump should be capitalized on, and concrete steps should be demanded. To begin with, the local Quds Force commander, Tabatabai [since assassinated by Israel], should be expelled from Lebanon. He is securely based in Beirut and is rebuilding Hezbollah.

Next, the Lebanese army should be encouraged to engage Hezbollah. Even limited engagements will enhance the standing, dignity, and authority of the Lebanese army and government.

Finally, as long as the situation remains unchanged, Israeli military strikes should continue—but they must not be viewed as the solution. If the Lebanese army is not compelled to confront Hezbollah, nothing will change. Israel’s long-term strategy must be different.

These strikes are merely a temporary measure in the absence of a comprehensive US-Israeli policy. We must not delude ourselves into thinking they will prevent Hezbollah from regaining strength. Much is likely happening right under our noses, beyond our ability to enforce. Only a political vision that complements the IDF’s strong military performance, in partnership with the United States, can produce a stable, long-term security reality.

The steps taken by the interim authority, led by Ahmed al-Sharaa al-Julani, to align itself with the United States and pledge allegiance to it will not bring prosperity to the country at all!

As for America, it does not wish to withdraw from the resource-rich country of oil, gas, and minerals. Its presence in this strategic crossroads in West Asia is crucial for several key objectives: protecting Israel, confronting the resistance axis, and ensuring its hegemony in all its forms over the countries of the region. Therefore, it is not unlikely that it will resort to activating the ISIS terrorist organization to justify its military presence in Syria.

From the perspective of the interim entity, it is in its interest to maintain the controlled security and military chaos in Syria, and even to escalate this chaos both quantitatively and qualitatively, in order to preserve its strategic interests, particularly retaining the territory it seized after the fall of President Assad’s regime on December 8, 2024.

In a related context, the ISIS operation in Palmyra confirms that the authority of the al-Julani faction is not as it is portrayed in the media. It is not absolute, neither over the geographical area where its forces are deployed, nor over its forces themselves. The attack was carried out by a security operative affiliated with it, and it occurred while American soldiers were meeting with a key Syrian commander involved in operations against ISIS.

According to a statement issued by the Syrian Interior Ministry on Sunday, December 14, 2025, five people were arrested on suspicion of “involvement in the shooting of American and Syrian soldiers in the city of Palmyra in central Syria on Saturday,” which resulted in “the deaths of two US soldiers and a civilian interpreter at the hands of an attacker who targeted a convoy of US and Syrian forces before being killed by police.” The statement revealed that the perpetrator of the shooting was “a member of the Syrian security forces suspected of sympathizing with the Islamic State,” claiming that they had assessed the attacker days before the attack and concluded that he might hold extremist views, and that they had ordered his dismissal on Sunday (the day after the attack)!

The Interior Ministry of the al-Julani faction also announced that its units in Palmyra carried out an operation in coordination with “the International Coalition forces,” resulting in the arrest of five suspects, who were immediately transferred for interrogation. But what the Interior Ministry of the Syrian regime, led by al-Julani, did not deny in its statement was that America had carried out several airstrikes and ground operations in Syria, targeting those it described as suspected ISIS members in recent months, and that many of these operations had been conducted “with the participation of Syrian security forces.” This demonstrates the extent of American security violations in the country and the degree of leniency shown by the Syrian regime towards American forces, a situation that will undoubtedly contribute to an escalation of its war with its former organization, ISIS.

Al-Shaibani Reaffirms Allegiance to America

On Sunday, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani quickly contacted US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to discuss the details of the attack, offer his condolences, and reaffirm “the Syrian government’s commitment to undermining and destroying the common threat of ISIS.”

As for US President Donald Trump, he declared, threateningly: “I can assure you that whoever carried out this attack in Syria will suffer severe consequences. They have captured the individual... but there will be severe consequences.” He added, “This was an ISIS attack on the United States and Syria, in a very dangerous area of Syria that is not under their complete control. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa is furious and extremely upset by this attack. There will be a very harsh response.”

What happened in Palmyra is not an isolated security incident, but rather a revealing moment about the path Syria is being pushed down today: diminished authority, suspended sovereignty, and American intervention operating freely under the pretext of fighting ISIS, while chaos is being managed as a tool of influence, not a passing phenomenon. The rapprochement with Washington has not produced stability; rather, it has deepened the vulnerability of the country, revived deadly contradictions within the security apparatus itself, and opened the door to an escalation that will not be the end of the road. Between “controlled” chaos that serves the interests of the occupation and a fragile security reality, Syria today seems further than ever from salvation and closer than ever to a recycling of the crisis with new tools and old slogans.

Between cooperation and competition, this paper seeks to analyze the Turkish-Iranian relationship and the impact of its policies on both countries, with repercussions in the most volatile arenas: Lebanon and Syria, and their effects on foreign policy in the coming period. The survey consists of five main questions, with sub-questions that clarify and focus the answers. The following experts on Turkish affairs contributed to the survey—with thanks and appreciation: Dr. Huda Rizk, Turkish expert Professor Islam Özkan, Professor Muhammad Abu Talib, and Professor Abdul Nasser Faqih. Experts differ in their approaches to the most influential factor: Dr. Huda Rizk believes that regional stability and Syria are the cornerstones of the rapprochement, while A. Ozkan considers the Israeli threat to be the most prominent factor. A. Abu Taleb believes that internal factors and the two countries’ stances toward the United States are the determining factors, while A. Faqih places economics at the center of the ruling factor.

Regarding the American response, opinions agree that it is twofold: symbolic or military-economic pressure on one hand, and maintaining Turkey within the sphere of influence on the other. Washington is banking on managing a balance between Turkey and Israel to ensure stability in the Syrian arena and prevent the erosion of its influence in the region.

The survey results show that experts agree on the general framework of the Turkish-Iranian rapprochement in the following aspects:

- Within the context of security and economic interests, the Israeli threat, and the Syrian arena.

- The connection of Turkey’s distancing from Israel to a range of issues: Gaza, Syria, national security, and public pressure.

- The pragmatic and unstable nature of the results.

- The calculated and balanced duality of the American response.

However, opinions differ on identifying the most important factor and on expectations regarding the depth and duration of the rapprochement or distancing.

The situation in the special military operation zone remains tense. The mystery of Kupyansk raises increasing questions, while both good and bad news have emerged from the SMO zone. Odessans have shown unprecedented footage. Russians have declared retaliation.

“The situation is rapidly deteriorating.”

The situation for the Russian Armed Forces in the western part of Kupyansk continues to rapidly deteriorate. Military expert Yuriy Podolyaka reported this on his Telegram channel. According to him, Ukrainian Armed Forces militants are attacking with units from several Ukrainian Army brigades, two of which have been redeployed here from other sectors of the front, as well as two assault regiments and special forces units from the Special Operations Forces and Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, continuing to push back Russian fighters from the south and north. The expert clarifies that they have taken control of several more districts of the city, as well as the village of Moskovka.

Units of our 68th Division are fighting desperately. But the enemy’s superiority in forces, as well as our already obvious logistical problems, are having an impact, Podolyaka notes.

In turn, analysts from Voyennaya Khronika [Military Chronicle] are also raising the “mystery” of Kupyansk, noting that the situation in the city raises increasing questions, with almost no answers. According to experts, the Ukrainian side is trying to exaggerate any success not on the ground, but in the media. And here, Kyiv has a simple goal, the essence of which has remained unchanged for years: to demonstrate that Russia has no control over the city at all. Even if there are no real mechanisms for achieving this goal.

Meanwhile, due to the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, having deployed a significant number of reserves to attack Kupyansk, Russian units are currently in no mood for filming and refutations. Right now, it’s more important to repel counterattacks, which, as we previously predicted, will surpass the actions of Ukrainian generals and the Main Intelligence Directorate in Pokrovsk in terms of the level of frenzy, planning, and mass slaughter of infantry, analysts believe.

They note that, at the same time, the outright fake information about the situation in Kupyansk, disseminated by Ukrainian media, is often “dragged” by Russian bloggers.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces regularly issue reports of alleged large-scale mechanized attacks from Sobolevka and Blagodatovka in western Kupyansk. At the same time, the direction of operations from the northwestern outskirts near Moskovska and Radkovka is strictly limited geographically, although somewhat numerically dense on the part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and from the direction of Osinovo and Boldyrevka, it is limited to only a few attempts by individual groups, which are quickly destroyed. Active combat continues nearby. In the Kurilovka/Kupyansk-Uzlovaya area, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces are clinging to their positions and have to be dislodged by both targeted drone strikes and massive artillery shelling, the report states.

At the same time, analysts acknowledge that calling the situation in Kupyansk simple for Russia would be inaccurate. However, talk of breakthroughs and Ukrainian Armed Forces entering most of the city, they say, is also untrue.

There are no dramatic successes of that magnitude there. Heavy positional battles are underway. As we stated earlier, the Russian army has not yet fully spoken in this area, and due to the abundance of combat operations and uncertainty about information from this area, we will have to live with it for some time to come, the experts noted.

The road to Slavyansk is opening.

However, it’s not only alarming news coming from the front—significant achievements are also being reported. According to Yuriy Podolyaka, having abandoned Seversk, the enemy was unable to organize a defense on the heights west of the city. Ultimately, they were driven from the chalk quarry and pushed back from Svyato-Pokrovskoe to Reznikovka, where fighting had already begun. And that’s good news:

The fact that we secured Reznikovka (having literally stormed into it on the backs of the retreating forces) is extremely important. Here, along the Sukha River valley, we can, relying on the residential areas of Reznikovka and Kaleniki (which run here almost continuously and can be used as a base for an offensive), reach Rai-Aleksandrovka itself. A key logistics hub on the route to Slavyansk. Having liberated it and relying on it, we can then advance on this symbolic city for us all, Podolyaka explained.

Meanwhile, unprecedented footage continues to emerge from the Odessa sector following the recent, largest-ever attack on the region. According to local media, Odessa is almost completely without power. As Politika Strany reports, city residents are cooking with welding machines and candles, going to supermarkets to recharge their batteries, and sitting in restaurants to the sounds of strikes. However, Ukrainian media are, of course, prohibited from mentioning that military-oriented businesses in the region have also stopped operating. Some are unable to restart due to the lack of power, while others have been razed to the ground by successful precision strikes. However, it’s too early to say that the military in the Odesa region and the city of Odesa itself is 100% paralyzed.

“Thank” the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Unfortunately, bad news is also coming from Russia’s seemingly rear areas. Last night, several regions of our country were subjected to a massive attack by Ukrainian drones – primarily in the south, as well as in Moscow and the surrounding region. The planned massive raid was known in advance. Russian intelligence reported the previous evening, around 10:00 PM, that the enemy was planning a massive drone attack from four directions.

Specifically, the enemy is planning an attack on the central regions, especially Moscow, the Moscow region, and the south of the country. MAGA’s Big Mistake: repairs instead of a trade-in

The supporters of Trump were not born in a vacuum. America was a shambles and very disunited when Trump first came in out of a fog and promised to fix our country.

At the time, we had had fixers before, for many decades, who had promised results but always left us wanting.

But at bottom, what we needed was a “new” America. A new idea, a new heart and mind. Frankly, a new populace with a readiness to absorb all this and reject the old, failed version of America.

But the average Joe and Mary Sixpack had long been steeped in a brew with certain sacred components considered untouchable.

If you questioned the idea of an economy where the rich were heroes who had all gotten their wealth by the sweat of their brow and their unique ingenuity, then you were a bad American and didn’t belong here. “Go live in Russia, Commie.”

Thus, our economy supposedly rested on a bedrock of hardworking geniuses. That’s the proper image to be cultivated by all of us.

This latter idea was what led the US and its allies to become oligarchies, as detailed here by Ben Norton.

Further, you didn’t dare suggest that America was equal with other countries and should treat others that way. We were unique. We were exceptional, indispensable. All others should look uo to us and beg for our help with their affairs.

It was blasphemy to suggest otherwise.

And therefore, we had a God-given right to other countries’ stuff and hence a right to involve ourselves in the internal affairs of any other country. Under this concept there emerged countless regime change operations, violent coups d’etat, color revolutions and the like. No government was inviolate. All were threatened with regime change.

Trump acted in accordance with this latter idea when he suggested taking over Canada, Greenland and Mexico at the beginning of his second term. His MAGA followers went right along with this, though if he had actually tried to take over any of these territories, it would have led to a bloody war that the US was in no way guaranteed to win – despite Trump’s self-characterization as a “peace maker.”

Finally, the salient feature of “America” as an idea is that American officials must be defenders and servants NOT of America but of a foreign country, namely, Israel, and this is based not on any of the founding documents but on a totally fictional version of the Bible that turns the teachings of Jesus on their head.

And that version is generally called “Christian” Zionism, which is a death cult that has crept into the Evangelical “church” and now dominates the doctrine of that body in ways that have squeezed out the actual teachings of Jesus, leaving in their place a doctrine that leaves American “Christians” not as followers of Christ but hostages to the homicidal political mythology of the artificial pseudo-state of “Israel” parading as the modern embodiment of ancient Israel – whose populace has lost most of its Semitic DNA and all but a rudiment of its Torah-based doctrine.

It does not in any way deserve to be called Israel. And yet, the average US “Christian” is supposed to strictly adhere to a skewed exegesis of the Bible that reduces the average American to a shell of the original version of a Christian in faith and an American as envisioned by the founding fathers.

Trump embodies all of the emasculated ideas described above, leaving but an impotent shadow of what America supposedly stands for.

None of the followers of MAGA, Made America Great Again, ever answer the nagging question: when was it great before?

Trump meeting and giving his idiotic endorsement to "rehabilitated" ISIS / al-Qaeda terrorist al-Jolani.

Yet Trump’s hollow militarism suggests he wants an America that is just as belligerent and warlike as we always were, from the shameful history of Wounded Knee and the Trail of Tears to the cruel and nationalistic (fascistic) Korean and Vietnam wars to the US-supported homicidal Nakba, the lie-based Iraq War and Libyan war, the Gaza genocide, the Obama-instigated Ukraine war, the Trump tariffs and Big Beautiful Bill that gutted the US economy, and the multiple regime changes that ousted progressive leaders like Patrice Lumumba, Bashar al-Assad and Salvador Allende and their replacement by homicidal autocrats like Pinochet and terrorist leader Mohammed al-Jolani?

Given our antecedents and Trump’s warmongering proclivities, it is clear that the Trumpites define greatness as war-making and the subjugation of the poor and downtrodden to fascistic, rich white men.

And that is the extent of the “greatness” Trump gave us.

Clearly, he was a fake and a hypocrite. And yet, in accordance with PT Barnum’s famous truism, America was full of those people who are born at the rate of one a minute.

Nonetheless, this article is not about Trump or any of the other failed leaders in America.

In a nutshell, it is about a much bigger issue, ie, the unipolar legacy of American politics versus the emerging multipolar, or multilateral world of the Global South and the BRICS.

The obvious military, diplomatic, moral and economic collapse of the old America is as plain as our noses, and heralds a better, brighter future for the world.

To make America great again is an impossibility because we were never great before.

But there is a distinct possibility of a new, multilateral, America arising from the ashes of the old one.

Just so those ashes are not nuclear.

They portrayed it as a “war,” as if BOTH sides had warplanes, tanks and an infinite supply of money and arms stolen from the paychecks of the American worker. And treated the warring sides as if the poor Israelis were also having their hospitals destroyed and their physicians and journalists almost all murdered and all their homes flattened by carpet bombing. And their children and women targeted as they desperately tried to get scarce food aid.

I have infinite faith in Israel’s willingness and ability to make peace into war and portray evil as good.

The ancient Hebrew scriptures had to deal with this kind of fraud since the earliest times:

“As of October 12, average shipments from the country’s ports over four weeks amounted to 3.74 million barrels per day, the highest level since June 2023,” the report states.

Middle East: Experts and politicians say that Yemen’s current confrontation has reshaped the contours of power and strategic capability across the region — stretching from the Red Sea, through vital maritime passages, to the very heart of what was once considered the stronghold of the Zionist entity’s influence. Developments show that the pressure and deterrence tools employed by the Yemeni Armed Forces and Ansarullah have triggered political, economic, and military reverberations on both regional and international levels. This raises a direct question about the ability of the entity to preserve its traditional dominance over regional maritime trade and navigation routes.

Adel Shadeed, an expert on Zionist affairs, told Al-Masirah TV on Thursday that what has unfolded over the past two years reflects a strategic, transformative decision by the Yemeni people and their Armed Forces under Ansarullah’s leadership.

“This decision was unimaginable two years ago,” he said, “but it is now a reality that is repositioning the region in ways fundamentally different from what was set since the Sykes-Picot agreements, the British Mandate, and even the role imposed by the Zionist entity on itself as the ‘regional policeman’ controlling land, sea, and air routes.”

He noted that the economic impact on the Zionist entity’s economy has become significant, despite its attempts to obscure the fallout.

“Closing major sea lanes or disrupting ports such as Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat) quickly affects the availability of certain goods and raises transport and insurance costs,” he added, “which drives up prices of items like meat, cars, and heavy goods due to reliance on longer, more expensive routes.”

Shadeed further pointed out that Yemen’s targeting has influenced international companies: the spike in insurance costs has forced some firms to reconsider or suspend trade dealings with the Zionist entity — a form of partial boycott or economic blockade if the confrontation persists and escalates.

On the political front, Shadeed argued that this shift opens a new window for strengthening the Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic national discourse, as the Zionist entity no longer holds the same absolute immunity and unchecked dominance it has enjoyed since 1948 without facing meaningful regional pushback.

Meanwhile, Fouad al-Shami, professor of modern and contemporary history, told Al-Masirah on Thursday that Ansarullah’s breakthrough of this long-standing status quo amounted to a strategic shock. The Red Sea had long been viewed as an American-protected zone, where no force was allowed to obstruct shipping lanes. But Yemen’s ability to assert itself and control a vital strait through which ships transit to multiple ports has overturned the balance.

Al-Shami added that this development unsettled the Zionist entity’s supporters, because what is happening is not a temporary threat but a behavioural shift: Yemen did not settle for rhetorical threats — it acted and delivered practically what many Arab states in the past did not.

He noted that international forces, including the United States, attempted to counter Yemen’s operations, but failed to achieve a permanent disruption of Yemeni activity in the Red Sea.

According to him, Yemen’s influence has now extended further into the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean, deepening concerns among states and interests accustomed to unrestricted freedom of navigation in those waters.

Practical and Strategic Implications

The significance of these developments appears across several dimensions:

Economic impact — both direct and indirect — on supply chains and regional/international markets.

Symbolic and political impact — breaking the “immunity” once granted to the Zionist entity, giving momentum to the resistance narrative and Arab-Palestinian solidarity.

Fragmentation of options — as the entity’s allies and trade partners face rising insurance and transport costs, which could prompt commercial and political repositioning in the near and medium term.

Experts conclude that Yemen’s operations and stances have introduced transformative shifts in the regional balance of power, granting an unexpected actor the ability to move equations through maritime, economic, and military tools.

As the confrontation continues, its strategic investment extends beyond immediate material effects to the redrawing of commercial and political alliances in the region.

The central question remains: will regional and international actors absorb this shift by halting aggression, lifting the siege on Gaza, and refraining from interference in Yemen — thereby restoring balance? Or is the region headed toward a prolonged phase of strategic reordering, in which anti-hegemonic dynamics weaken US-Israeli dominance across the Middle East?

Iran said on Tuesday that US President Donald Trump’s call for a peace deal with Tehran was inconsistent with Washington’s actions, referring to its strikes on Iranian nuclear sites in June.

“The desire for peace and dialogue expressed by the US president is at odds with the hostile and criminal behavior of the United States towards the Iranian people,” the foreign ministry said in a statement.

In mid-June, Israel launched an unprecedented bombing campaign on Iran, striking nuclear and military facilities as well as residential areas and killing more than 1,000 people.

The 12-day war with Israel, during which the US struck the key nuclear facilities in Iran, derailed high-level nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington.

Iran retaliated with missile and drone attacks that killed dozens in Israel. A ceasefire between Iran and Israel has been in place since June 24.

During a Monday speech at the Israeli Knesset, Trump said he wanted a peace deal with Iran and that the ball was in Tehran’s court for any agreement to come to pass.

In its statement, Iran dismissed the call.

“How can one attack the residential areas and nuclear facilities of a country in the midst of political negotiations, kill more than 1,000 people including innocent women and children, and then demand peace and friendship?” the foreign ministry asked.

Trump also said “nothing would do more good” for the region than for Iran’s leaders “to renounce terrorists, stop threatening their neighbors, quit funding their militant proxies, and finally recognize Israel’s right to exist.”

Tehran struck back, calling the remarks “irresponsible and shameful” and accusing the United States of being “a leading producer of terrorism and a supporter of the terrorist and genocidal Zionist regime.”

“The United States... has no moral authority to accuse others,” Iran’s foreign ministry said.

The Russian army launched a devastating attack on Ukrainian oil and gas facilities. Dozens of Geran missiles attacked oil refineries, fuel depots, compressor stations, and traction substations. The attacks continue. The fires have not been extinguished.

October has become the most hellish month of the year for Kyiv. Day after day, the Russian Armed Forces are increasing the number of strikes against the Ukrainian energy sector. Yesterday evening, a key electrical substation supplying the entire Kharkiv industrial zone was burned down. Subsequently, strikes were launched against Ukrainian oil and gas facilities. At least two traction power substations in the Kirovohrad region were destroyed, and oil depots and oil refining facilities in the Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions suffered critical damage.

Direct hit and a column of fire

One of the most effective and spectacular attacks was on the Citycross oil depot in Bobrovitsy, Chernihiv oblast. The strike was carried out by six Geran drones, whose combined warheads carried nearly 500 kilograms of explosives. According to the Donbas Partisan Telegram channel, the attack’s results exceeded even the wildest expectations. All UAVs hit their targets and disabled key oil refining equipment—an atmospheric vacuum unit.

“A direct hit on an oil refining unit led to the fire in the main reactor block and two vertical tanks,” the “partisans” wrote.

According to their data, the fire engulfed over 1,000 square meters of the oil depot. The fire destroyed not only the storage tanks but also pumping equipment, oil transfer lines, process galleries, and hundreds of meters of pipeline overpasses.

In the Kharkiv oblast, 19 Geran-2 UAVs destroyed an oil and gas processing facility. A pumping station, gas condensate tanks, and a methanol dosing station were also damaged.

In the Kirovohrad oblast, Russian drone strikes disabled electrical substations in the villages of Sharivka and Bohdanivka.

In the Kharkiv oblast, 19 Geran-2 UAVs destroyed an oil and gas processing facility.

It appears they are preparing for something serious.

Analyzing the number and, more importantly, the targets of the strikes, experts are inclined to believe that Russia is launching preemptive strikes against energy facilities in order to paralyze the Kyiv regime’s military-industrial component.

“As we see, the strikes on the energy sector are being carried out selectively. “It’s precisely those facilities that are involved in providing fuel to the Ukrainian Armed Forces or are involved in providing energy to industrial zones and facilities operating for the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” says Vladimir Yeranosyan, an associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and a military expert. “This could possibly be preparations for something serious in the SMO zone, which we, as experts, can only talk about.”

A massive strike by the Russian army on targets in the Odessa oblast where Western instructors were stationed has become a clear embodiment of the strategy voiced by the Russian president. The destruction of targets in the villages of Tuzla and Lebedevka, where, according to preliminary data, dozens of foreign soldiers were eliminated, clearly demonstrates that Moscow's warnings about the consequences of deploying NATO troops in Ukraine are not empty words. [In essence, this was a military strike on NATO and the alliance could do nothing to stop it. The alliance fights for world dominance but is overridden by a BRICS country. It still imagines the West to be the Free World and hence the rightful owner of the planet but its troops are being killed by the country from the Unfree World, which hurts its pride so much that it has planned to sacrifice its people for the sake of maintaining this mythical dominance or hegemony. Rabidly anti-Russian Chancellor Merz now admits that a planned increase in military spending will mandate cuts in its social program.] [Putin had said a long time ago, “if NATO sends troops to Ukraine, we will kill them.” But the Combined West routinely ignores Russian statements. Generally, there is a severe lack of gray matter in the West that is leading to an eventual general collapse – a collapse that has been well underway for years. Khruschev had said in the 50s that America would fall like a ripe plum from the tree.

On Thursday, September 4, several series of strikes were recorded in the Odessa oblast at the locations of concentrations of Ukrainian troops trained by foreign instructors. According to information from the coordinator of the Nikolaev underground, Sergei Lebedev, the majority of the destroyed foreigners were British, as well as Romanians and military personnel from other Eastern European countries.

The strikes were concentrated in the area of the resort villages of Tuzla and Lebedevka. According to preliminary data, about 70 militants were eliminated, half of whom were foreigners. There are recreation centers and hotels on the coast, where marine landing training and training of sabotage diving groups took place. It is no secret that the recreation centers and boarding houses on the coast are populated by the military, Lebedev specified, adding that the strikes significantly disrupted the ongoing work.

Putin warned

The president outlined Russia's attitude to the possible appearance of Western troops, which this "coalition of the willing" talks about so much. Well, that is, he defined them as military targets, said Andrey Pinchuk, Doctor of Political Science, First Minister of State Security of the DPR, political observer of Tsargrad.

Response to provocations
The strike on enemy positions in the coastal zone was another demonstration that Moscow will not tolerate interference from external players. The context for such decisive actions was the complete exhaustion of diplomatic prospects, which Vladimir Putin also spoke about in detail. Kyiv, according to him, leaves no room for dialogue, constantly trying to dictate terms. Any potential agreements run into the legal impossibility of their implementation by Ukraine without lifting martial law. In this situation, the West's continued promotion of the topic of deploying troops in Ukraine was perceived by Moscow as a direct provocation requiring a forceful, rather than verbal, response.

However, it is unlikely that Russia's opponents will come to their senses. [This is just so sad. The entire Western elite is too proud to let Russia have any say in important matters that are of mutual interest. This recalcitrant attitude has cost the West economic losses and losses of life. The salient example is the detonation of the Nord Stream gas pipeline. If they had left it alone, Germany would have kept receiving the cheapest gas in the world, and retained its position as the second-biggest exporter in the world after China. Leaving the pipeline in place was the obvious solution even during wartime. But now, that Germany has acquiesced to US interests, the prospect of selling its expensive fracked gas in the form of LNG, which was hostile to Europe, and its economy has slipped drastically. [Thus, Germany labored under a multiple handicap: paying the extra cost of fracking and the extra costly processing to compress the gas at the seller’s end and decompress it at the buyer’s end, and to ship it overseas – a major net loss compared to buying pipelined gas.] Of course, the Western goal was to weaken Russia, but if it had had wise leaders, it would have known that Russia could pivot eastward and maintain its economic strength without missing a beat by selling its gas to its BRICS partners. Which indeed it did. Instead, Germany made the worst possible choice, weakening its own economy instead of Russia’s. And on top of that, it became one of the countries that assumed early the maximum costs of the extra contribution to NATO demanded by the US. The net result is that Russia had in 2024 a bigger GDP than any European country. It is clear that the No. 1 enemy of Europe has been – not Russia – but the US, a false friend if there ever was one. So sad to see all this happening to the once-friendly US ally. How different it all could have turned out if there had been a modicum of trust. Further, the icing on the cake was America’s foolish treatment of China as an enemy based merely on the fact that the trade balance had always been in China’s favor, simply because the US bought goods of greater total value from China than China from the US – NOT because of some sinister machinations on China’s part at all – as Trump had falsely (and might we say stupidly?) asserted – but due to America’s choices. Thus, while America had in essence swindled Europe out of funds that Europe needed for its social programs (which will be cut as a result, as Merz admits), but had also foolishly hurt its own people by imposing extra taxes on them in the form of tariffs. Thus both Europe and America came out the losers! And this at a time when Europe was planning war on Russia and the US was planning war on China – while also financing a genocide in Palestine. None of this bodes well for either side, especially in view of Russia’s and China’s economic success and mutually beneficial trade and credit relations. It certainly looks like the BRICS has the upper hand over the Western empire]

This is far from the first strike on the coastal zone, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces and their foreign curators continue to be stationed on the resort coast. It is convenient to prepare marine landings and sabotage groups of divers there, explained Sergey Lebedev.

Conclusion: from warning to execution
The powerful strike near Odessa, anticipated and then publicly justified by the head of state, is a strategic message to NATO countries. A message that Russia has taken from warnings to action. And, as the president stated, responses to the intervention will be inevitable: we will strike carefully, but powerfully. Moscow has once again shown that it is ready to defend its interests.

Friedrich Merz: Germany Can No Longer Afford Its Social Security System

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has warned that the country’s welfare state is no longer financially viable, declaring that the European Union now stands at the edge of an economic abyss. Speaking at a Christian Democratic Union (CDU) conference in Osnabrück, he said Germany lacks the economic resources to maintain its social security system and called for immediate reform beginning in September.

Merz Targets the Poorest as Costs Spiral
According to Merz, Germany’s social security expenses have surpassed €47 billion, while the national economy continues to shrink — GDP fell by 0.3% in 2023 and 0.2% in 2024. With an aging population, rising unemployment, increasing migration, and mounting financial demands from Ukraine, the strain on the budget is worsening.
Sources within the CDU/CSU warned that if welfare is not cut — since military spending remains protected by the suspension of the “debt brake” — the budget deficit could exceed €100 billion, nearly double the forecasts of the previous “traffic light” coalition government before it collapsed over disputes on fiscal policy.

The German welfare model was once the backbone of the European Union’s prosperity, powered by cheap Russian energy and export-driven industry. Now, Berlin has abandoned Russian supplies for political reasons and faces US tariffs under President Donald Trump. “One must be completely out of touch to justify such reasoning in the middle of an economic Armageddon,” critics argue, as EU citizens grow increasingly disillusioned.

Ukraine’s Attacks and Brussels’ Indifference
The EU’s fragile state was highlighted after Ukraine’s recent attack on the Druzhba gas pipeline, vital for Hungary, Slovakia, and much of Europe. Despite urgent appeals, Brussels dismissed the issue with an anonymous EU official coldly responding: “The European Commission does not see a threat to European energy security.”

The EU’s Path to Self-Destruction
Analysts argue the EU is collapsing from within, led by politicians such as Merz and von der Leyen, who prioritize solidarity with Ukraine over solidarity with their own citizens. Since the Arab Spring, Europe’s decision to accept millions of migrants under Angela Merkel’s “We can manage this” slogan has only deepened instability. Critics claim this policy was part of a US-driven agenda to dilute Europe’s cultural identity for easier control by global elites.

Now, with Donald Trump back in power in Washington, some European observers believe there may still be a “light at the end of the tunnel,” with US tariffs seen as inadvertently strengthening Russia’s strategic position while undermining the EU’s fragile unity.

How is it possible that a small group of warmongers rules over a population that does not want war? This report is a survey of polls taken throughout the world on people’s attitudes toward the wars that their rulers crave.

The World Does Not Want War

BOTH the wars in Ukraine and Gaza have accelerated a new mood amongst people around the world against conflict and for peace. This mood had been growing before 2022, when Russian troops entered Ukrainian territory, but has only increased since then. Faith in the West’s role in the management of world affairs declined during the pandemic, when certain older trends continued to the horror of large sections of the world. These trends included: the failure of the Western governments and their health system to manage the pandemic in their own countries; the refusal of the Western governments to prioritise the distribution of vaccines across the world, but their insistence that their populations must have far more vaccines than needed; the insistence that governments in the poorer nations continue to service their odious public debt owed to wealthy bondholders in the West. It became clear that Western claims to superiority and to benevolence – already eroded by the West’s failure to win its illegal wars of the past twenty years (Afghanistan, Iraq) – could no longer be sustained. The emergence of several powerhouses of the global south, alongside these failures, hastened these changes.

A new report from the European Council on Foreign Relations (‘Living in an à la carte world: What European policymakers should learn from global public opinion’, November 15) illustrates the depth of this new mood with data from across the world. The report is based on polling data from 21 major countries: the CITRUS states (China, India, Turkey, Russia, and the US), eleven major European countries, and five major non-European states (Brazil, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and South Korea). The polls from these countries show that we are not in the era of polarity, with large majorities of the people wanting to live in a world without ‘one fixed set of partnerships’; instead, people who were polled want their governments to be in contact with all governments and to work with different governments on different issues. Because of this more pragmatic political landscape, the report notes, ‘much of the rest of the world (outside Europe and North America) wants the war in Ukraine to stop as soon as possible, even if it means Kyiv losing territory. And very few people – even in Europe – would take Washington’s side if a war erupted between the US and China over Taiwan’.

Vast majorities of the peoples polled in these countries do not accept the Western arguments for the wars in Ukraine and in Palestine. For instance, the report notes that ‘large numbers of people outside the West think that the war in Ukraine could be less a moral struggle than a proxy war between great powers’, with NATO expansion eastwards seen as the author of the conflict. The entry of Russia troops beyond the Donbas region is not seen as the start of the war, but in fact a part of a long-drawn out conflict that has simmered in Eastern Europe as the United States has tried to install by any means (including coups) governments favourable to the West. ‘The West (Ukraine, the EU, or the US) is seen as the bigger problem not just by people in Russia and China’, the report notes, ‘but also by those in India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey’. Not only do people believe that the West is to blame for the war in Ukraine, but people believe that ‘Russia will win its war in Ukraine within the next five years’.

WASHINGTON’S PRESSURE CAMPAIGN AGAINST CHINA
Perhaps the most striking part of the data in this report is on the issue of Taiwan. Since the United States established diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China in 1979, it has adopted the One China Policy. This One China Policy means that the US has acknowledged that Taiwan is a part of China. That same year, the US government passed the Taiwan Relations Act, which defines the non-diplomatic links between the US and Taiwan – keeping alive the false hope in Taiwan that the United States believes that it is independent and that the United States would defend Taiwan from full incorporation into China. This duplicity – diplomatic relations with the PRC and the Taiwan Relations Act – has defined Washington’s links with Taiwan over the past 44 years. Tensions increased over the past five years, after the US passed the Taiwan Travel Act (2018) that allowed US and Taiwanese high officials to come to each other’s countries. Since 2018, the US has inflamed tensions with China over Taiwan, as part of the broader US pressure campaign against China.

Half of the Chinese public believes that the United States will start a shooting war against China, while over a third of the population in the West believes that such a war is inevitable between these two important countries. If there is any such war, 62 per cent of the population in the largest European states would like to remain neutral (only 23 per cent said that they would support Washington). Only 8 per cent of Europeans would welcome their troops being involved in a war against China over Taiwan, while only 32 per cent of the US population would cheer on the troops. In both Europe and the United States, large majorities are opposed to such a suicidal war. They want closer ties between these countries, which is perhaps why US Secretary of State Antony Blinken flinched in discomfort when US President Joe Biden called Chinese Premier Xi Jinping a ‘dictator’; such language undermines the difficult diplomacy that is underway to re-establish working contact between the two countries.

The sensibility of the population, however, is not captured by any of the major political forces in the North Atlantic world and certainly not in any anti-war or peace movement. A sharp information war continues to accuse anyone who calls for a ceasefire in Ukraine or for peace between the West and China as, respectively, agents of Russia and China. There is simply no room for the adult conversation to reflect on the new mood illustrated by this polling data. The growth of the anti-war movement in the West has not been a result of these majorities regarding a war with China, precisely because few people believe that it could actually take place; the actual spur for the revitalisation of this movement has been Israel’s genocidal bombing of the Palestinians in Gaza.

ISRAEL’S WAR ON PALESTINE
The report from the European Council did not have data on attitudes around the world regarding Israel’s barbarous war on the Palestinians of Gaza. However, there are other indicators that reflect the new mood. Massive protests against the apartheid Israel bombardment of the Palestinians of Gaza continue. An entire new generation has been radicalised by these mobilisations, which have brought tens of millions of people to the streets from Jakarta to Istanbul to Washington, with large marches in Australia and Ireland, as well as in Brazil and Britain. These protests – despite the bans on them in several Western countries – call not only for a ceasefire but for an end to the occupation of the Palestinians. Workers have refused to load and unload ships with goods from or bound for Israel, with particular emphasis on weapons deliveries. Calls for International Criminal Court warrants against high officials of the Israeli government now not only come from the streets, but from offices of important governments, such as South Africa and Colombia (many countries have either withdrawn their ambassadors or threatened to break ties altogether with Israel). If there was large-scale polling, it would reveal that majorities of people want the Israeli bombing to end and the Palestinians to be given a path to a dignified life.

The attitude within the United States – let alone Europe – around the Israeli attack on Gaza is astounding. A Reuters/Ipsos poll last week shows that the US public support for Israel’s war dropped from 41 per cent (after October 7) to 32 per cent, figures that include equal numbers of Democrats and Republicans. Despite the reluctance of all the leading political forces in the United States (from President Joe Biden to the Republican contenders for next year’s presidential election) to back a ceasefire, support for an end to hostilities is at 75 per cent among Democrats and 50 per cent among Republicans with an overall 68 per cent for a ceasefire. Other polls concur, which makes this an adequate illustration of the US public view of the war in Gaza. But only 33 members of the US Congress out of 535 members (and one senator out of the 100 senators) back a ceasefire, showing how alienated are the elected leaders from their own constituencies (almost all of those who back the ceasefire call are non-white). Congresswoman Becca Balint was the first Jewish representative to call for a ceasefire, saying that while ‘one generation removed from the horrific trauma of the Holocaust, which impacted my family’, she believes that ‘killing civilians, and killing children’ in Gaza ‘is an abomination and categorically unacceptable – no matter who the civilians are, and no matter who the children are’.

Not one Republican elected to Congress has joined the ceasefire call. They gathered for a pro-Israel rally in Washington, DC, attended by Israel’s president – who had said that civilians in Gaza are a legitimate target – and Pastor John Hagee – who is a known antisemite who has said that Jews were responsible for the Holocaust. The views of men such as Herzog and Hagee as well as most of the US elected representatives, are out-of-touch not only with the views of the world, but even of large majorities of people of the United States.

The above report/commentary is not surprising for the simple fact that the US is NOT a representative democracy as it claims, but a nation owned and ruled by oligarchs, most of them firmly committed to imperialism and Zionism.

The genocide in Gaza has reached a critical juncture, with mounting evidence suggesting that Israel’s actions constitute a deliberate genocide against the Palestinian population.

Reports from multiple sources, including the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and eyewitness accounts, paint a harrowing picture of starvation, destruction, and systematic extermination. UNRWA, the primary provider of humanitarian aid in Gaza, has been vocal about the severity of the situation.

An UNRWA staff member stated: “The starvation of the people of Gaza is manufactured and man-made.” The staff member emphasised the agency’s capability to distribute food effectively, noting, “We have very effective communication channels with the people there. They know that if we have enough, we have a system to provide food for every family.”

“Let’s, for once, put the civilians of Gaza at the centre — the million children, the million women watching their loved ones starve before their eyes,” UNRWA Sam Rose tells CNN.

However, despite these efforts, Israeli authorities have blocked aid from entering Gaza, leading to what UNRWA described as “manufactured starvation.”

The impact of this blockade is catastrophic.

UNWRA statement:

”Displacement, extreme heat, and the spread of diseases make this work even more critical. Our staff are starving and hungry, but they continue to work to serve their communities”

Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur writes:

”I have never felt so shaken. Children are dying of hunger. Falling one after another, like petals of a dying flower. Under our watch. How do you sleep, Presidents, Foreign Ministers, political leaders, diplomats, civil servants – doing nothing to stop Israel’s starvation campaign?”

Steven Donziger revealed that Israel has destroyed half of Gaza’s 36 hospitals, leaving the healthcare system in ruins.

“This is not collateral damage; it is a targeted assault on the ability of Gazans to survive,” Donziger wrote.

The destruction of healthcare infrastructure has been compounded by an impending famine, with nearly every person in Gaza facing crisis-level food insecurity.

Eyewitness accounts from Gaza further illustrate the genocide in Gaza.

Abier Khatib, a resident of Gaza, shared on X, “Families are selling their belongings to buy food for their children. This is not a war; it is a genocide.” Mosab Abu Toha, another Gaza resident, described the relentless bombings and the destruction of homes, stating, “There is no safe place left. We are being erased.”

Glenn Greenwald criticised Western media for downplaying the severity of the situation. “The narrative of ‘self-defence’ is being used to justify actions that are clearly genocidal,” Greenwald wrote. He pointed out the complicity of the United States, Israel’s primary ally, in enabling this atrocity. “The silence of powerful nations only emboldens Israel to continue its campaign of death and destruction.”

Former U.S. Green Beret Anthony Aguilar says he routinely witnessed Israeli forces (IDF) firing artillery tank rounds and mortar rounds into crowds of unarmed, starving Palestinians at GHF aid sites in Gaza. “I witnessed war crimes,” the GHF security contractor told the BBC, calling the attacks “indiscriminate” and “the worst brutality” he’s seen in his life.

China’s English-language X account has also weighed in, criticising the West’s double standards. “The hypocrisy in condemning other conflicts while ignoring the genocide in Gaza is staggering,” the account stated.

This sentiment is echoed by George Galloway, who called for immediate action, urging the international community to “stop this massacre.”

Sources from July 24-25, 2025, including The Times of Israel, The New York Times, Common Dreams, and Ynet, quote Eliyahu saying Israel is “racing toward erasing Gaza” and that “all of Gaza will be Jewish.”

Eliyahu dismissed concerns about hunger in Gaza, stating, “We shouldn’t be dealing with hunger in Gaza, let the world take care of them. No nation feeds its enemies.” These remarks, made on Kol Barama Radio, reflect his ongoing advocacy for extreme measures against Gaza’s population.

Moshe Feiglin, leader of the Zehut party, says:

”Every child in Gaza is an enemy. We must occupy Gaza until not a single child remains there. There is no other kind of victory.”

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has reported on the dire conditions in Gaza, noting the systematic destruction of infrastructure. “Hospitals are being rehabilitated and resupplied, only to be exposed to hostilities or attacked again,” OCHA stated in a recent update.

This cycle of destruction has allegedly left only 19 of Gaza’s hospitals operational, struggling under severe supply shortages and a surge of casualties.

The blockade of Gaza, the destruction of life-sustaining infrastructure, and the deliberate starvation of its people are not isolated incidents but part of a broader pattern of ethnic cleansing.

The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court defines genocide as acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group.

Israel’s actions fit this definition perfectly, as evidenced by the targeted attacks on civilians, the prevention of humanitarian aid, and the systematic eradication of Palestinian presence in Gaza.

Steven Donziger presents statistical data:

”Here is the latest data, updated as of yesterday (July 21): based on a statistical model developed by a prestigious medical journal called The Lancet, Israel has killed roughly 434,800 people in Gaza since the country’s military started to attack the territory on 8 October 2023. That’s 20.7% of Gaza’s entire pre-conflict population dead. Over half are women and children.”

France and Belgium are now calling on the international community to respect Palestine as a sovereign state. Macron writes on X:

”Consistent with its historic commitment to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East, I have decided that France will recognize the State of Palestine. I will make this solemn announcement before the United Nations General Assembly this coming September.”

Marco Rubio’s devious plan to prohibit the Palestinian delegation from attending the U.N. General Assembly in New York this month by refusing to issue them visas has backfired.
By a vote of 153-2 U.N. members voted to relocate the 80th session of the UN General Assembly to Geneva in order to allow the attendance of the Palestinian representatives including Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority. (Abbas happens to be a notorious traitor to the Palestinian cause and a collaborator with the Zionist Empire.)

It should come as a surprise to no one that Israel and its chief accomplice in the ongoing genocide, the U.S., were the lone members to vote against the resolution. Their blatant attempt to stifle the voices of Palestinians has failed in grand fashion. The UN tightens the noose around Netanyahu’s neck. There is now no telling what they’ll do next. Like booting Israel out of the UN. Is the US next? (UN General Assembly votes by large majority for immediate humanitarian ceasefire during emergency session.)
