BRIAN BERLETIC—Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine is being fought differently than the US invasion of Iraq in 2003 not because Russia’s military is inferior or incapable of conducting modern warfare effectively, but because it is an entirely different type of conflict. Ukraine is larger geographically, with a larger population, larger and better equipped/trained military; – Ukraine has built up fortified positions across the Donbass for the last 8 years. These defenses are not merely infantry sitting in trenches – they include long-range fire support from artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, mortars, tanks, and anti-tank weapons; – To defeat these defenses, Russia must methodically eliminate long-range Ukrainian heavy weapons.

The US will have sent Ukraine more than $105 billion in economic and military assistance in 2022 if and when Congress manages to finalize the $1.7 trillion 2023 omnibus budget deal later this week. Ahead of Zelensky’s trip, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced a new $1.85 billion weapons package to Kiev, including a Patriot missile system. The assistance reportedly includes $1 billion in arms directly from the US military’s own stocks, including the Patriot battery, HIMARS ammunition, 155mm precision-guided artillery rounds, tens of thousands of mortar rounds, MRAP vehicles, JADM missiles, grenade launchers, small arms, claymore mines, night vision devices, communications systems, tank gun rounds, and BM-21 Grad rocket ammo. But the outlays are not enough for some US media, whose coverage of Zelensky’s trip played up concerns that the US’ future support for Ukraine won’t be able to match levels achieved in 2022.

ERIC ARTHUR BLAIR—The US Establishment can now effectively block or stifle any public dissent opposing their War Agenda, while simultaneously instructing the stupid sheeple who they must direct their daily two minutes of hatred against. The Western media have truly turned Orwellian. They have learned how to do this step-by-step over the years since the Vietnam and Afghan and Iraq debacles, now achieving total control over the mainstream media.

KIM PETERSEN—It is a given that the rules-based order is an American linguistic instrument designed to preserve it as a global hegemon. To rule is America’s self-admitted intention. It has variously declared itself to be the leader of the free world, the beacon on the hill, exceptional, the indispensable nation (in making this latter distinction, a logical corollary is drawn that there must be dispensable nations — or in the ineloquent parlance of former president Donald Trump: “shithole” nations).

BATKO MILACIC—It remains to be assumed that more than 35,000 people were buried, cremated, abandoned on the battlefields without any record. Namely, this approach to losses creates the ground for the work of black transplantologists, who, according to a number of Russian human rights activists, are ready to remove organs from still-living soldiers with the help of their own command. Anyway, 35,000 donor kidneys for the modern Western world, where their transplantation has long become a routine operation, is a rather small figure that cannot even satisfy the current demand of people who have been standing in line for transplantation for years.
