For globe trotting trophy hunters of dominion, primarily white christian males… and now women too, these beautiful images of a handsome, graceful animal represent only another animal to conquer in the never ending quest for control of animals and nature established by genesis:
Genesis 9:1-3 “The fear and dread of you shall rest on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the air, on everything that creeps on the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; into your hand they are delivered. Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and just as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.'”
By exercising the destructive force of genesis, a trophy hunter makes yet another vain attempt to establish dominion… something which cannot be established, for nature knows only of balance, where all beings are important for preserving the web of life.
