T P WILKINSON—Malcolm X once made a poignant observation about the power of PR, although he did not use the term. He noted that the US regime between 1917 and 1949 changed the US public opinion toward Germany at least 4 times. Yet in all its history it has never persuaded the “white” population to accept that Blacks be treated equally with them. Instead the regime insisted that such attitudes towards Blacks were eternal, human nature as it were.

Virtual University: the Cold War, whence it came and why
12 minutes readT.P. WILKINSON—My point is that among other things the term “cold war” has developed the connotations which continue its deceptive intent. The term is commonly understood as an undeclared state of war waged by two parties: hence the Soviet Union was considered by liberals as a co-belligerent. The US war against the Soviet Union was concealed. This was historically significant since the newly adopted UN Charter forbade aggressive war. Therefore the “cold war” denied the Soviet Union the claim in the UN that it was being attacked. It also permitted the US to present any Soviet aid to countries the US invaded as quasi-war justifying the US intervention. Even Soviet foreign aid could be defined as war.

The Volleys Of An Information War Against China
23 minutes readLEONID SAVIN—Stories about bad guys tend to be the most effective. In general, the idea of the villain is used in the methodology of the political frame – the technique is always used in US elections, but it is also widely used in foreign policy. A test tube filled with washing powder can be waved around and Saddam Hussein can be accused of having chemical weapons. That was a story that did its job perfectly. Accusing Iran of preparing to develop nuclear weapons proved to be more complicated. Now, the volleys of an information war against China can be heard. While America’s top officials and bureaucrats do their thing, the country’s corporate media outlets are developing other avenues.

The Empire (Continues) to Strike Back: United States Strategic Approach to The People’s Republic of China
24 minutes readP. GREANVILLE—The Exceptional Nation continues to make it official: it just “won’t accept, it won’t tolerate” the rise of an independent multilateralist China. [or Russia, for that matter). Written in the usual self-important corporado-diplomatic language used in such high-falutin documents, Washington’s latest declaration is as menacing as it is risible. It is also a typical product of the unrealistic hodge-podge that passes for clear and righteous reasoning in a Neocon-infested foreign policy establishment long marinated in oceans of hubris. The result is a stunningly hypocritical pronouncement couched in all the usual exceptionalist claptrap about the sacrosanct “American way of life” (savage capitalism) and “US vital interests” (the interests of the oligarchic 0.0001%) and the American nation’s God-given, immutable place of paramount power in the world.

US Commission on the Pandemic of 2020: No Culpability, No Accountability for 70,000* Americans Killed in 60 Days (Annotated)
31 minutes readJOHN STANTON—There will likely be a US Commission on the Pandemic of 2020, the verbiage of which will mirror the 911 Commission Report. Fault will be placed on a lack of federal, state and local coordination and sharing of medical intelligence among the three levels of American government. The US federal administration will be admonished with a few tough words and that, as they say, will be that.
